Hey, My consultant wants to put me on Zoladex monthly injection until my next op to try and reduce the endo getting worse. Im told it basically shuts my ovaries down (temporarily) so my cycles will stop. Quite similar to menopause and symptoms. HRT alongside it has been recommended also. Was hoping

Why do people believe BSGE are ‘experts’ or in fact ‘understand’
I have been under a BSGE consultant for nigh on 5 years, and I can tell you, the sh*t is still the same! There is NO difference, other than, they have a team of surgeons if you’re an advanced, complex case, that needs a team of surgeons! But the emphasis is the same, and so is the treatment on offer,

Help please
I had a lap in 2016 which used ablation to remove endo from pouch of Douglas, vagina and right ovarian fossa. Since summer of last year I have been suffering from lower left abdominal pain and lower back pain with shooting pains to my left leg and occasionally a dead left arm. My consultant tried Zoladex

Managing bowel symptoms
I have a large (9cm) cystic mass (possibly an endometrioma, possibly a cystic adenomyoma) attached to my uterine fundus. My uterus is retroverted and the mass is causing pressure on my bowel. I’m currently on month 4 of Zoladex and waiting to hear back from the MDT at a BSGE centre. I’m hoping someone

Running out of Endometriosis treatment options! Are there any more out there?
Hi all, I was diagnosed with endometriosis last May through a diagnostic laparoscopy, with Mirena coil inserted during the op. That has been found to not be sufficient enough alone to combat the endo that still remains and it’s started to grow back on one of my ovaries. They’ve found that my ovary is

Zoladex injections for endometriosis
Hi , I am having my first Zoladex injection on Tuesday 23rd February for endometriosis treatment. I am very nervous as of what to expect or how I should prepare. Also my Gynaecologist has advised me to remain on my combined pill ? Has anyone else done so?

Hi! First post, can anyone offer any advice please?
Hi! My names Sam, I’ve been on here for a while but first time posting! I got diagnosed with endometriosis in may 2019 after many years of problems. I’ve had 3 laparoscopies within 18 months and tried different pills and stuff to stop my periods, but they never seem to agree with me and my periods still

Never ending period
So I didn’t have a period for a few months then a three week bleed in December and now another one in January/ Feb lasting almost the same. I have had transamic acid for 4 days. It barely stopped the bleeding. My only bet is birth control but my body hates it my body acts out a lot and will take it for

Next step?
Hi all, I have endo, have never been told a stage. I have had two laps, one in 2016 by general gynae and one Feb 2020 at BCGE Centre. I have quite a complicated medical history. I was initially on cerazette (this stopped my bleeds) but had to stop it in late 2017 as they believed it could be aggravating

How to question gynecology dr about possible bowel symptoms?
Hi I've been living with endometriosis for what seems like forever, I'm almost 27 and I had my diagnostic laparoscopy in 2018. I had stage 2 endometriosis mostly seen on my right ovary, and consistent inflammation seen overall. (Though the pain is unbalanced and feels like I'm being carved like a pumpkin

Help! Pain relief advice needed!
Hello ladies. So long story cut short, had Endo and had it removed 1 and half years ago, been diagnosed with adenomyosis now. Lots of lovely pain, had zoladex but now off it and just dealing with it with mefanamic acid and Amytriptyline. So the big question is, does anyone take cbd oil with Amytriptyline

Tender armpits on Zoladex
Random question - has anyone experienced tender armpits on zoladex? It feels similar to the tenderness you might get around your period, but obviously not having periods at the moment. Just wondered if anyone had had the same, or whether I should be worried! Thanks Georgie

Any experiences with the zoladex implant injection??
Hi everyone, I hope you're all safe and as well as can be. I had my laparoscopy back at the end of December 2020. I was hoping to start IVF treatment back in June last year however due to a unbearable episode of endo pain I ended up in A&E where they found that I was at a severe stage 4 endo, adenomyosis

Advice: zolodex injections before second Lap?
Hi, I am discussing a second Lap for Stage 4 Endo with bowel involvement (I'm 47) and my consultant wants to give me zoladex injections leading up to the op to make surgery easier and things less inflamed etc. Has anyone taken this before an op/had a similar request? I am very sensitive to meds so

Hello wonderful people. I can't tell you how much support you have given me and my dad over the past year - if I could hug you all I could. We are back in another quandary which I'm hoping you can shed some light on... My dad is on Zoladex, he had had radiotherapy to the prostate and 4 x Docetaxel to
