Help please

I had a lap in 2016 which used ablation to remove endo from pouch of Douglas, vagina and right ovarian fossa. Since summer of last year I have been suffering from lower left abdominal pain and lower back pain with shooting pains to my left leg and occasionally a dead left arm. My consultant tried Zoladex which worked for 4 injections in somewhat making the symptoms more manageable but now we’re onto Norehisterone. I’m top of the list for his nhs patients but he’s saying he doesn’t know when they’re going to open the lists again (Royal Derby). The pain and experience is so bad I had a nervous breakdown in January trying to balance work and pain management and ended up in a psychiatric ward for two and a half weeks as I was so low I was a risk to myself. We’ve explored self pay but because of the amount of excision they think will be involved thats not an option (unless I literally sell my house to find a major way excision specialist). I’m now on 577 prescription tablets a month plus Oromorph, my mental health has never been lower, I’m experiencing urinary delay and cannot go to the loo without strong chemical involvement. My partner and I noticed last night you can literally see the swelling in the left area- on my right side I can feel my hip bone and there’s a noticeable dip, on my left it just swollen and puffy. I feel at a loss with no end date in sight, countless trips to A and E where they just offer me morphine then send me home. I know a lot of us are in the same position at the minute, can someone give me hope? And I’d appreciate it if anyone could look at the photo and tell me if they have had similar. Thank you 🙏

Hi, I have a left sided bulge ( shows on the right side of the photo below- you can see the central seam of my leggings and the overhang (to the right side of my tummy on the photo ). Mine is above my hysterectomy/ Caesarian scar and manifested itself this time last year = 5 weeks post hysterectomy. I accepted medical opinion that it was muscle/ that previous abdo / Caesarian/ gall bladder large belly button laparoscopic incisions can cause problems and discomfort, but last 7 months bulge is more painful, can’t wear pant elastic or jeans etc anymore as pressure makes me feel nauseous. Saw gynae consultant and also paid for private assessment and asked if it was Endo being fuelled by oestrogen HRT and both said try different HRT and do sit ups! Saw a gynae physio last week and she said it might be a Haematoma where lesions have formed or Endo. Physio tried a ultrasound type wand with a mild electric current and rubbed it across tummy/ pelvis to try and break the mass up, as she says if feels hard below the surface. Left me in pain last few days.....going to try similar but magnetic pulse next week?! If there is a gynae physio at your hospital see if you can get referred/seen there.....I am also looking to get to see a gynae consultant somehow who may be more knowledgeable and sympathetic . I also have found it hard to manage a heavy workload post brexit as my role is very affected and some days I struggle big time. let me know how things go for you, I do feel for you, take care xxx

My worst side is left side! My entire left side, including my rib cage, is bigger than my right!

Funny enough, I went through years of pain in the ribs, long before my Endo was diagnosed! I had to have my left kidney stented as my ureter was narrowed, and I was passing clots from my kidneys! I have masses amount of pain under my left rib, from ‘constipation’, ie Endo on the bowel, adhesions, but as GPs like to call it IBS 🤣

I now have a complex cyst/mass on my left ovary! So my left side is bigger still 🤣. But yes, of course you can see Endo from the outside! It causes local inflammation, organs to malfunction (constipation, urinary retention and such).

If you can afford a private ultrasound have one done to make sure you have no ovarian cysts! If they’re discovered it’ll bring your surgery forward! Xx
