Returning ADT after holiday for 9 months.

I have been on a holiday from three month Zoladex shots now for 9 months. I have blood work done every 3 months and results from the first 6 months were PSA.02 and Testosterone .06.

Now my last numberers after 9 months are PSA 1.0 and Testosterone 10.02.

I am waiting for Urologist to get me back on the 3 month Zoladex shot.

My question is, will the ADT be able to lower my PSA and Testosterone.

I was stage 4, Gleason 9 with metastatic prostate cancer.

Thanks.

Yes, it will lower your T and maybe your PSA, but you will want to treat your cancer, not just your PSA. Have you considered Xtandi or Zytiga?

After diagnosis in 2017, (PSA 105, Gleason 9 with 6 bone metastasis) I was started on ADT then six rounds of Chemotherapy followed by 20 beams of radiation to the prostate.Continued the ADT and PSA held steady at .02 until I took this 9 month break.

I believe the treatment I received was based on the Chartted or Stampede Trials.

I haven’t had any other treatments.

I am 56 years old now. Father and grandfather had prostate cancer as well.

I live in Canada.
