The self-sabotaging mind
The sick part of my brain is trying to sabotage me today. I’m in a training class for work, and the topic is something I enjoy that I’m good at. The healthy part of my brain is loving this. The addicted/anxious/crazy part of my mind is worrying about my relationship with L. I can see the two sides

National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London - Anyone been?
Looks like I have been referred to the ‘National Hospital for Neurology and
Neurosurgery
’ in London (wasn't sure if I'd be referred here as was waiting), and I just wondered if anyone has been to this place, either for MDT meetings, or for treatment?

Lots of lumps
Morning peeps 😊. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I am curious as to whether or not anyone has experienced what I’m currently experiencing and if it could have any relation to the lung cancer. I have developed 13 lumps/bumps on the back of my head...on the skull but under the skin. They’re in a cluster

Brain metathesis,
my wife was diagnosed of metathesis of the brain a few months ago and we are waiting for ops. What maybe other management options other than the brain surgery? Thanks

Best places for Aneurysm treatment in the UK, anyone?
I’d asked my GP to try to refer me to the ‘National Hospital for Neurology and
Neurosurgery
’ in London… But then I saw an old thread on a different forum that seemed to have an issue with treatment there... So, am wondering if I made the right decision?

Chronic prednisone use and inflammation markers

Update
So we were able to see the neurologist early, which I’m super glad we did. His neurologist said he doesn’t believe that the MRI shows definitively a recurrence. To him, it looks more like, and is in the time line of radiation necrosis. Ryan got a large dose right after his resection of the brain tumor

Interesting issues
Good morning everyone, hope you’re all alright! Yesterday my oncologist told me to go to the ER again, so I did. I had a headache on the same side of my head where the met was removed (8/24/18) for a few days, just not that bad. My seizures weren’t so far apart lately either. This headache began when

Devastating stroke to my sons brain stem and the 3 year struggle to regain awareness and his tragic death
My son, Jared was born on June 21, 1989. He was a healthy, sweet child. He had many friends and was a very kind and thoughtful person. On July 11, 2001, at age 12, Jared was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. He had a successful surgery to remove part of the tumor and the remaining tumor was monitored

Getting fed up of the phrase "lucky to be alive"
Lucky? Yup just like winning the lottery, having a brain heamorrage and still being about, headaches, forgetting the thing you ate doing, forgetting what you need to do, crying over nothing, feeling like your head is full of cotton wool, losing family and friends, not being able to do 20 percent of tasks

In The Beginning PT 7
When I last wrote about this, my mother had just undergone emergency brain surgery. Well, when she first came out of it, she acted any way you could expect a person to act that just had their brain poked and cut apart would. She was very sleepy, but when awake she was hard to understand and to follow

Feeling desperate
My sister has hydrocephalus, only discovered in 2014 and she had several operations and had a shunt put in. She'd been having headaches for a while but not debilitating but since her operation the headaches are much worse and we think it's because there was some nerve damage done during the operation
