Would you consider being in a clinical trial? Are you aware that without trials there is no hope of getting any treatment for NASH?
Why should any of us volunteer to do an educational video or be an advocate about liver disease? Simple really. Most of us won't get a transplant and so unless treatments are developed cirrhosis will shorten our lives. I do this because I decided not to die that way. The problem is that not enough people

Liver transplant waiting times.
My husband has
NASH
and HCC. His first liver tumour was treated by RFA. Now he has another one and he has just had TACE treatment and may still need ablation too. Although not assessed for a liver transplant, we've been asking how long the wait is.

Are you waiting for a transplant? Would you be willing to tell people at risk but don't know it how it really is and perhaps warn them?

What I wish I had known sooner! Rosemary was reflecting as a caregiver about what little we knew about liver disease. Your experience?
My name is Rosemary and I am the wife of the FLF founder, Wayne Eskridge, who is an improving
NASH
/Cirrhosis patient. From 2010 to 2015, we were on a roller coaster ride, the type where you slowly get pulled up higher and higher, only to drop back down at stomach-turning speeds.

Red palms/NASH/Nafld/Cirrhosis
I think I have NAFLD or
NASH
, but I fear something worse like cirrhosis or hcc, but my mind has a tendency to wander to worst case scenarios. I am overweight and have lost about 5 kilos due to healthy eating and 10000 steps everyday, at least I hope that is why I have lost the weight.

Feeling like there is no hope.
I have
NASH
/cirrhosis. I previously lost weight (30 pounds) and all my labs normalized. I am 60 years old, little savings and now have been told I will be losing my job, being replaced by a computer.

Liver disease and the windmills of your mind, this disease is hard but we do live in a time of hope. Some thoughts on research underway.
Now Gilead is mounting a very important effort to make a similar contribution to
NASH
and cirrhosis. Gilead's approach is a bit different from that of most of the industry as they are assuming a multi-drug combination will be the solution.

Introduction
My name is Elizabeth and I've several conditions with one being
NASH
with S1 fibrosis and 90% severe hepatic Steatosis. I also have Hemochromatosis with iron over load and it has caused some iron depositions in the liver as well. Thank you for the add. I look forward to reading more.

What I wish I had known about liver disease
They do not tell, that for some patients, fatty liver can progress to NAFLD,
NASH
, cirrhosis, liver cancer, and even death. What I thought was a healthy diet, really was not. Too much sugar is as damaging to the liver as too much alcohol.

So does this mean we are dying?
So I have fatty liver that's progressed to
NASH
. Does this mean I'm dying? Does this diagnosis mean it will progress to cirrhosis and without a transplant I will die? I'm 54 and I have no idea what my prognosis is. I've changed my diet and completely stopped drinking and I won't take any pain meds.

This is a very readable overview of NASH today, I differ with the author on a few minor points, but what do you think of it?
Tucked away just south of the right lung lies a disease that’s quietly ravaging the world. Without fanfare, it’s been growing for the last three decades to become what some physicians believe is one of this century’s imminent public health threats. Since it was named in 1980, more than 13,000 articles
