Myelopathy? Stenosis?
Hi Can someone please explain the difference between (cervical) stenosis and
myelopathy
? Confused by mixed messages from practitioners; would appreciate insight from someone who is experiencing either/both firsthand. Thanks!

Hi, I'm new
He told me something was wrong with my spinal cord, and his differential diagnosis was a tumor inside the spinal cord, a tumor right outside of it pressing in, multiple sclerosis, or maybe just compression of the spinal cord (Surfer's
myelopathy
). The spine MRI he ordered showed nothing.

How long after deficiency can symptoms show up?
At age 63, years after the deficiency was rectified, I have experienced symptoms similar to
myelopathy
. Doctors all thought it was due to some type of physical impingement on the spinal cord - but MRI's gave my spinal cord the "all clear" signal.

This is a problem: patients with
myelopathy
are facing lengthy delays in diagnosis, which likely limit their recovery and a lack of general awareness is probably an important factor.

Cord compression but no symptoms - what’s the plan?
Instead, patients should be given clear advice on the symptoms of
myelopathy
so that they can watch out for them and should be followed-up in 6 months to 1 year to ensure no
myelopathy
has developed.

Please can anyone advise.....
I do have what was suspected peripheral and autonomic neuropathy, probably caused by the diabetes, Hashi's or Lyme Disease but now the neurologist is wondering if whatever is behind the Cervical
Myelopathy
is the cause of my neurological problems.

Patient blog: Frank Dutton's Big Day.....
This I am sure is down to the
Myelopathy
but it doesn’t make it any less painful. The countdown has reached 15 days before I am admitted into hospital before the surgery but I’m trying to not think about that in case we have another postponement."

Can Cervical Myelopathy cause loosing coordination of fingers?
Beside neck problems from cervical
Myelopathy
, new one. I am starting to loose my coordination in my fingers on right hand, like can't barely tie my shoes cause I use two hands to tie the laces, naturally. Now my wife has to help me. Hard to open tops on some jars, etc. Must be a sign.

Cervical Myelopathy treatments?
My main problem every day is constant light headed/dizzyness. At the bottom of my neck seems to be where it is coming from. If anyone has similar, can you say what you to for relief? Heating pad, ice, ointment for some relief? No pain at all. Thanks.
