Trying holistic Nutrition Approach for scleroderma
Few weeks later I got a call saying they wanted to give my some steroid infusion and then
mycophenolate
as a maintenance but would only be very low dose. Nurse rang to tell side effects which was she said was just basic.

infusion of steroid and mycophenolate
Then put me on
mycophenolate
. As I am type 2 diabetic am quite worried as to having the steroid as I’ve read it can shoot sugar levels up. Am also worried about side effects both of steroid and mycophenalate. Just wondered if anyone else is diabetic and has had on going through these treatments.

Uveitis treatment opinion please
Take 2 g of
mycophenolate
( daily) Or 2. Move to biologicals Based on your individual experience, which one would you advise ? I'm favoring biologicals more as
mycophenolate
is the same family as methotexrate( although supposed to be stronger than MTX) , which hasn't worked for me. Many thanks

Mycophenolate - Anyone know anything good/bad about this drug.
So I'm now being asked to go onto
Mycophenolate
& having read up a little about it I don't like the sound of it's possible side effects. Has anyone taken this drug, or know anything about it, as I'd be very grateful to hear of anyones experience or knowledge of it.

Lupkynis approved in Switzerland to treat adults with lupus nephritis
Findings suggested that Lupkynis helped preserve kidney function when given alongside
mycophenolate
mofetil and low-dose steroids (well-established anti-inflammatory therapies for lupus), without substantially increased safety risks.

NICE recommends voclosporin to treat lupus nephritis
NICE have made a recommendation to the NHS that a new treatment, voclosporin, can be used in combination with
mycophenolate
mofetil (MMF) to treat some patients with lupus nephritis. This is only the second treatment developed specifically for lupus to be approved in within the UK. Exciting stuff!

Methotrexate for the summer
He also encouraged me to try
Mycophenolate
or Azathioprine and ended up prescribing me Myfortic . I was due to start it last Sunday but really didn’t have a good feeling about it when, apart from the unsightly rash from head to toe, I felt the best I’ve been in about 2 years.

IPF or idiopathic ILD?
I'm conscious there can be serious implications if they have this wrong as certain drugs used for ILD (like
mycophenolate
mofetil, which I'm on) can actually do damage to people with IPF. Grateful for any thoughts or advice anyone has to share. TIA.
