Multiple myeloma

I have had ET for 6 years and was diagnosed yesterday with Multiple Myeloma. I had been getting increased joint and bone pain and fractured a vertebrae a few weeks ago.Are these 2 diseases linked or am I just unlucky to have 2 different cancers?

Went to Moffitt and saw ET specialist then a Multiple Myeloma/MGUS specialist. The MGUS specialist agreed with my monthly hematologist/oncologist . MSpike needed to be watched but doubted it would morph into Multiple Myeloma or smoldering MM.

He has been on Venclexta for 18 months which is working wonderfully well keeping his cll and multiple myeloma at bay. Radiation Oncologist wants him to start radiation asap.

P-BCMA-ALLO1, an allogeneic CAR-T cell therapy, has shown a 91% overall response rate in a Phase 1a trial for relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma. It uses healthy donor T-cells and targets the BCMA protein on myeloma cells...allogenic means lots less expensive, which is always a great thing!

Unfortunately my husband has both cll and multiple myeloma! He was diagnosed with cll 25years ago(aged 50)and has had various treatments each time he relapsed.He was diagnosed with multiple myeloma 5 years ago,received treatment and thankfully went into remission 3 years ago.

In November I will enter year 2 of multiple myeloma DX. Have been through induction but not needing a stem cell transplant yet. Latest scan showed no signs of progression. I've moved to 1 scan every year for PCA (assuming no change in PSA level.)

We've gathered some examples of such medicines -- including the new KRAS drugs, some older targeted therapies, and the multiple myeloma treatment Ninlaro. Other treatments we are particularly interested in include cabozantinib, afinitor, and Trodelvy.

The illness is related to MGUS (monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance) and to Multiple Myeloma. Via bone biopsy I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and MGRS. I was taken off of Actemra for the GCA and had four rounds of chemotherapy followed by a stem cell transplant.

Have just been diagnosed HR Multiple Myeloma Shocked scared and start treatment on Friday Would be so grateful for advice guidance and any help ? Thank you so much in advance This has always been a great source of help over the years and big thanks to all who advise and partipate xx

I am fighting metastatic breast cancer and multiple myeloma plus cardiac amyloidosis so it is a big gulp for me. It is onward on though. Prayers for all of you too fighting. Oh and now I have a floater in my eye it is driving me crazy too.

The last two blood panels showed .11 and last .10 for the protein M Spike which has to do with MUGUS which is part of a Multiple Myeloma diagnosis. I know this is a small amount of M Spike and very slow growing but is there a huge possibility of becoming smoldering Multiple Myeloma?

I was recently diagnosed with something called MGRS (Monoclonal Gammopathy of renal Significance), It is related to Multiple Myeloma. I start chemotherapy for the MGRS next week, which is the same as the chemo for full Multiple Myeloma, which I do not have.

I have a friend with Multiple Myeloma she had heard of it while having treatment at hospital (she’s on a trial drug, successful so far) My niece is a specialist bowel cancer nurse she’s never heard of it either.

I successfully completed my induction cycles for treatment of my Multiple Myeloma. Mayo Clinic confirmed I am in remission from MM. I completed collection of my stem cells for future transplant if needed. 9 days down there - 21 appointments.

I know the Serum LC is taken when testing for Multiple Myeloma as my best friends husband has bone marrow cancer.

Of course now I’m much more worried - especially as one of the tests is for multiple myeloma. I have zero symptoms that would fit this. So, my question - can any of you wise and well read people point me in the direction of any reputable sources of further information? Thank you :)

My family has a 3 generation of multiple myeloma (and bone increasing medications are a high risk for me). My celiac disease probably meant I never developed the FULL bone density of the model healthy person ever.
