Not prostate cancer related (but Phase 1b): allogenic CAR-T therapy is having good results in multiple myeloma!

P-BCMA-ALLO1, an allogeneic CAR-T cell therapy, has shown a 91% overall response rate in a Phase 1a trial for relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma. It uses healthy donor T-cells and targets the BCMA protein on myeloma cells...allogenic means lots less expensive, which is always a great thing! OK it's not prostate but I am always happy to see good news

Right but it’s a different kind of car-t therapy. This one is allogenic, which basically means off the shelf….which translates into lower costs and less time between the decision making to treat and the treatment itself as they don’t need to “grow” the cells starting from your own 😀

if we want to stay positive, currently there are 150 companies trying 166 different ways to fight prostate cancer…of course not all are for advanced cancer, but I am talking about clinical trials only….can we hope to have at least 5 new and working therapies within the next 2-3 years? 😃
