A meaningful diagnosis at long last
Having suffered with what I was told was AF for some 8-years, symptoms being noticeably exasperated by everything from beta blockers to the various rhythm control drugs I was prescribed. In desperation I posted my history on this forum and received comments from many people, one of whom was a specialist

I'm New here
Hi, I am a 50 year old lady, 2 years ago I was told I was at serious risk of developing type 2 diabetes. I decided that if I lost weight then maybe I could decrease the risk, for 12 months I followed a low carb diet and lost 5 stone. I would like to lose just one more stone but at the same time to realise

Hi I'm New
Hi, I'm new here. Have over 14 stone to lose and feel quite daunted and lost. My GP has told me I'm pre-diabetic and that if I lose weight I might be able to head off type 2 diabetes which has really woken me up and stirred me into action. My mindset has been that I have so much weight to lose I

New study highlights benefits of low carb not low fat,for heart health...
A new study comparing a low-fat versus a low-carb diet for heart health has shown that the latter improved fat deposits around the heart, waist circumference and lipids. This is an important finding as people with type 2 diabetes could in effect limit their risk for associated heart conditions

Strength training?
Hi all, So I know that if you are a runner you have to strength train, too, so you don't lose your muscle and you strengthen your legs to run more confidently. What is your routine? I just started 6 simple exercises (bridge, squats, plank, superman, lunges). Is it really necessary though? Thank you in advance
