Monofer

(b) when does monofer kick in, will I wake up one day and feel great? I am on day 11 how long before I feel less tired and mentally better? Any tips from anyone who had monofer. Please advise as I am struggling with poor quality of sleep and irritability.

Back story: I was B12, Folate, Vit. D deficient with extremely low Ferritin (9). These deficiencies have been going on for years and docs were pretty clueless, made me feel like I was a drama queen about it all, and I had an allergy to B12 shots. I had a Monofer iron infusion two and a half weeks ago. I've also had low folate several times over the last few years that the GP has treated with 5mg folic acid, it goes up then goes down again after a period of months off the high dose folic acid. Now back on the 5mg folic acid.

Has anyone had iron sucrose infusion done and does it help? Thank you

I read a lot of articles to see why my kidney functions which were poor for that past years (about 4) deteriorated (to 5.5). I read that Venofer for treating anemia (now hemoglobin 10.5 following many treatment) can harm the kidney. I am also taking weekly Recormon for raising the hemoglobin. Anyone

My doctor has finally prescribed me 5 iron infusions of Venofer for my RLS, each a week apart. I had my first one yesterday. Does anyone have experience with this and how soon they started to notice relief?

I am unable to keep my RBC and hgb count up wnl . my hematolo gist cannot figure out why. I am getting an egd and a Colo tomorrow to r/o loosing any blood there. My hgb is 6.3 this week. my wife diagnose ITP 2 years back after taking DELTACORTAL for one year we stoped this as that had lots of side effects for one year all the blood values were normal only the platelet count was 20-30 problem started 8 months back when all the values get down our hemotolgist gave some medication venofer

Just an FYI. I have been diagnosed with thiamine deficiency, Wernickes Encephalopathy, post vertical sleeve gastrectomy (4 years post op). I also have PA requiring shots every other week and I am receiving IV thiamine also every other week. I have also been diagnosed with chronic iron deficiency anemia
