Mometasone

MOMETASONE seems to be helping, but I've not been taking it nightly as I've been trying to decrease my steroid load. I am tapering my Prednisolone dose, currently alternating between 2mg and 1mg daily, as I have Polymyalgia Rheumatica (7yrs).

I've been using Mometasone for 7 weeks. About a month and a half ago it started it my right ear but it isn't as noticeable. The sound in the left ear stays the same as is a constant noise, like a hoover/extractor fan.

GP has doubled my mometasone prescription which has helped but only slightly. The pain is random, often lasts up to 3 seconds and I might have multiple episodes an hour. Genuine thoughts please.

Saw a better GP who finally agreed to refer me, and gave me a steroid nasal spray - mometasone furoate. Things got better, thankfully.

anyone els using this spray ,I’ve just been prescribed it out of the blue. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I was also given a prescription for Mometasone nasal spray with instructions to use this “long term”. On googling this it has the same wording as the penicillan – doesn’t normally react with thyroid meds!! How can I trust it won’t in my case?

Since we are having to be our own doctors now & try to diagnose ourselves since you can't get hold of anyone who knows , I wondered if anyone has experience of a steroid nasal spray called Mometasone Fluorate.

l have osteoporosis,the doctor give me mometasone furoate spray for my nose inflammation 1 spray each nostril twice a day, could the steroid in the spray effect my osteoporosis.( T scores are hip -t3 spine t-2)

I am a long term asthma sufferer (12 years +) my current medication is Fostair 200/6, (2 puffs first thing in the morning and 2 puffs last thing at night) Fexofenadine 180g, (1 tablet at night) Mometasone nasal spray (1 dose in each nostril at night).

I have been using Mometasone Furoate to treat my Eustachian tube dysfunction. Once in the morning 1 spray up each nostril and once in the evening again 1 spray up each nostril.

A better option would be a topical nasal steroid like Flonase® (fluticasone), Rhinocort® (budesonide), Nasonex® (mometasone) or Nasacort® (triamcinolone)." Has anyone tried one of these nasal sprays and did it affect your afib or interact with your meds?

How long would you expect it to take for Mometasone Nasal Spray to start to work, please? I've been taking it for nearly 2 weeks and no improvement on Post Nasal Drip so far. I was using Flixonase before and that didn't work. Was really hoping the new spray would! Thanks.

Following creams are prescribed >> Canesten HC >> Fucidin >> Elidel >> Eumovate >> Canesten HC >> Mometasone Furoate .. Most of these creams really supposed to be for short-term use but some doctors prescribe for on-going use.

I have been using mometasone furoate to treat my phimosis, but after 2 weeks of using it, I have only been able to retract my foreskin when flaccid and it still feels tight. Now I am aware that phimosis and hpv are risk factors for penile cancer.

So I will be unable to have my Fostair 200/6 and mometasone nasal spray. I am also on Spiriva Respimat 2 puffs morning, as well as ipratropium (Atrovent) and salbutamol via nebuliser 3-4 times daily (as well as other asthma meds). I have been told that these are ok to continue.

I use a Nebulizer, Strerimar sea nasal spray, mometasone furoate nasal spray. The consultant at the Royal Brompton said use the Atrovent inhaler twice, 15 minutes before the postural lung drainage, which I do.

mometasone furoate nasal spray ,I googled it and itching is listed as a side affect,I told him the itching has stopped since I stopped taking the spray.

I’m on omeprazole, pregabylin, amitrypyline and recently steroid inhalers and mometasone for new congestion/lung issues which could be connected - who knows!

Mometasone nasal spray. Not sure when to use the Atrovent inhaler.......before lung clearance, or after, or when needed. Cliff.
