First of all , Happy New Year to everyone & to those who replied to my original post thank you.I have no update on my situation 're test results so it's looking like it will be another 2 months before I hear anything. The GP is phoning me on the 4th with my blood test results so I will try & move things along then.

The palpitations are no better & I made the mistake of having a glass of wine last night & really suffered for it. I guess I'm teetotal now !

I'm struggling with all of this, I must admit & the fear & anxiety is overwhelming & I don't know how much longer I can go on like this, not knowing what is wrong. Life is on hold & I did have many plans whi c h have had to be cancelled. Very disappointing.

Since we are having to be our own doctors now & try to diagnose ourselves since you can't get hold of anyone who knows , I wondered if anyone has experience of a steroid nasal spray called Mometasone Fluorate. I have been using it daily for a time, prescribed by my doctor but have recently read that it can cause palpitations or make them worse. Would appreciate any advice.

Sorry to be a moan, just finding things difficult just now.

Hello :-)

Happy New Year 🎉

It maybe a New Year but for many one that still brings the same issues and I can imagine how you are feeling

Regarding the nose spray I have been given many over the years and never got on with any they seem a lot of the time to cause me nose bleeds

I am not sure if you would be able to but I wonder if you must take that spray or if it is like an option which when given my sprays it was if you stopped it for a week pr so and see if it made any difference ?

You only have a few days to wait till you speak to your Doctor and I would ask , they might say it is not the spray but you could still ask can I just give it a try ?

I hope 2023 brings you the answers you need so you can get on with your life the waiting is always the worst but try telling yourself it will be worth it :-)

Let us know how you get on :-) x

Thanks . I have stopped the spray this morning & will speak to the doctor. I have a eustachian tube dysfunction but I would rather put up with that than the palpitations.

Hello :-)

As long as you are sure that you are ok to stop it a few days it will be interesting to see if it makes any difference :-)

Let us know how you get on :-) x

Hi .Moan away.Only peeps on here know what your going through.Best of luck with the gp.

hi don’t have same spray as you but do use avymys another steroid spray for rhinitis and post nasal drip as well as a steroid inhaler for asthma and when Crohn’s is flaring am also put on high dose steroids atm lol so sometimes seem to be overdoing the steroids 🙂 but have no side effects that I can think of missis might disagree lol think we are all individuals and different strokes for different people I have been told I can stop my avyms if I want if I think it’s bothering me! Steroids don’t tend to cause side effects unless taken for more than 3 weeks or in high dose 🙂

Thanks for the info. I used to use Avamys but doc changed it a while ago. I am supposed to use the mometasone forever every day but have stopped in the last couple of days.Palpitations are probably nothing to do with spray but nothing lost if I stay off it for a while.

🙂
