Had Ablation in '23 lately suffering from frequent PAC's.
Was wondering if any of you fine folks are having or have had bouts of frequent PAC's and what you are doing or what your doctor prescribed to get rid of them. I'm still in sinus rhythm according to my EKG but experiencing PAC's daily. I am currently on no antiarrhythmics and on Metoprolol for rate

Medication (Drug) Treatments for Heart Disorders
Just as there are many different antibiotics to treat different infections, there are several different medications to treat arrhythmias, as all medications affect everyone differently, it is always a good idea to speak with a Medical Professional about which medication is best for you. For further

AF - a wide range of different varieties?
I’m new to the Forum and wonder if my “type” of AF is common. I have several friends who have AF and they all seem to have different types. I am a fit 71 year old - playing sport several times a week. When I have an AF episode I usually can’t feel anything- I only became aware of my AF because of

Reducing bisoprolol
After an ablation in early April I went into symptomatic AF after two days but have since had a successful cardioversion. I remain in NSR and on advice from the arrhythmia nurse have reduced my bisprolol from 5mg to 2.5 mg daily. I'm a week into the lower dose. My heart rate has increased, which doesn't

Bisacodyl has been prescribed for me
I’ve been on laxido for constipation for the last two years or so. At first it was ok with very little side effects. However, recently over the last few months I’ve been suffering from bloating, trapped wind and excess gas which are side effects of laxido. I met with my gastroenterologist today and

Change proposed to medication for epilepsy
I have asked for my Tegratol medication for epilepsy to be changed to something else as it interferes with use of simpler blood thinners. I am currently on Tegratol 200mg twice daily, 9mg warfarin and 10 mg Bisoprolol daily. It was also suggested I start on digoxin although my heart rate has not been

Do you or someone you know have Atrial Fibrillation?
Atrial fibrillation is the most common arrhythmia affecting many individuals worldwide. AF can increase the risk of stroke. The irregular heart rhythm causes the blood to pool and this may cause a blood clot to form in the heart chambers which can then be carried to the small blood vessels in the brain

Hi, why would my diastolic Blood Pressure be of recent dropping and fast pulse ,4 hrs after NDT meds please?
Hello Everyone, I have been on 1 3/8 grain NDT and less to 1 1/4 grain NDT (pressure of Consultant) for over a year. Feeling jittery and shaky over the last month, barely able to stand, achy muscles after eating. I have over the last week spread the dose from twice a day to three times a day, but

Another Update
Well following previous posts and still no results from Holter monitoring had letter from Cardiologist to say that due to misunderstanding I should be taking 100mcg of Losartan divided into two 50 in morning and 50 at night. I have only been taking 50 once a day as that’s what it looked like on the

default heart rate when in Afib?
Hi guys Long story short:third ablation failed in May. In between ablations (last 2 years) my afib has been permanent. Ive tried multiple drug combos but the only thing that makes my heart beat normally is an ablation. After latest failed I had a week’s reset after a public hospital cardioversion.

4 years post EBRT (44) PSA 0.1 Up from undetectable.
MO thinks it will go up hopefully slowly. Recheck psa in 3 months. Dumb question maybe. Stage 4?

Adrenal Insufficiency or GCA or both?
I have looked at the FAQs but cannot readily find an answer so here goes.By way of quick update I restarted pred about 3 months at 10mg because my PMR symptoms came back. I have been tapering at 1mg every 5 weeks using Dorset Lady's slow taper (thank you again). I am shortly to reduce from 7mg to 6.5mg
