Endo bowel symptoms after hysterectomy
The pain always returned after any treatment and the only thing that worked for me was the
Mirena
coil. I would have 12-15 months symptom free with the coil. Anyway, I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago (everything apart from one ovary was removed).

Interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome and endometriosis?
I had my
mirena
coil removed for the surgery at the surgeons request and now my bladder seems to be really flaring up as a result. Thanks

Missing Mirena coil
I had a procedure on Saturday to remove a fibroid and to remove my
Mirena
coil. After the procedure the nurse advised that the marina coil wasn’t there. Yesterday I received a letter to say that I’d been discharged from the gynaecologist.

Can the Mirena coil cause migraines?
Hey guys, about 6 months ago I was diagnosed with endometriosis and had a lap and got the
mirena
coil to reduce symptoms. Since then (I think), I have noticed I've been getting some quite intense migraines occasionally. Are these all linked?

Mirena Coil flipped upside down & embedded
Hi, has anyone been through something similar? So it has now been 3 attempts to remove my coil. Today they tried as a hysteroscopy with local anaesthetic, 20 mins in and in so much pain they gave up. When they had one last look with the camera they noticed the coil and flipped upside down, strings wrapped

Zoladex and mirena removal - blood loss?
I had two three month courses of zoladex two years ago with
mirena
in situ and didn't have any bleeds. My
mirena
at the time stopped my periods completely. They changed my
mirena
Feb 2020 during my most recent lap and I have had 2+ week bleeding every month and lots of associated symptoms.

Mirena coil vs. Progesterone Only Pill?
The surgeon has suggested fitting a
mirena
coil at the time of my surgery to help with the adenomyosis. I have been looking up the side effects from the
Mirena
and they have scared me. I was just wondering if anyone on here has any feedback on their symptoms.

Mirena or Prosterone pill
Hi, I need some help. I have severe pain, cramping, spasming on a daily basis that means I have to come into a&e on a regular basis as all pain medication barely has an affect! It has been recommended to me to try either the more a or a progesterone only pill to minimise the estrogen and this the pain

Mirena
I had a
mirena
coil put in last September as I’ve got fibroids. All has been ok no bleeding for the last 6 months. Had a routine smear test yesterday and the nurse couldn’t see the strings so I now have to go for a scan. Anyone else has this problem ?

Mirena Coil gone? 😕
Has anyone else experienced the
mirena
coil move? If so, how was it removed, did you have surgery? I'm worried it's partially or fully perforated and what damage that can do. Thanks Danii 🤗

Feeling forced into surgery? No other option
I have the
mirena
coil fitted in november to try and help which has just led to me basically constantly bleeding for the last 6 months. My doctor told me to wait another month (to 7 months post fitting) to see if it works, my most recent ultrasound also showed an ovarian cyst.

Mirena vs dienogest after surgery?
My consultant wants me to have a
mirena
in during my surgery, but I have done some research and seen that dienogest is possibly better for preventing recurrence (especially of cysts).

Temporary Menopause?
I’m on my second
mirena
coil, I don’t remember having any effects from the first one. With this one my boobs are so sore ALL the time, not just around ovulation, to the point wearing a too is painful.

All of a sudden, a menstrual cycle after 10 years?
So I've been on the
Mirena
for about 6 years (had a new one put in last year) and before that I was on the Depo shot for 4 years. I haven't had my period in those 10 years I've been using these methods in order to control my endometriosis and associated pain.

More pain after having mirena coil?
They won't do a laparoscopy yet to confirm and wanted to try the
mirena
coil first. I had it fitted a couple of weeks ago on day 6 of my cycle (which I found horrifically painful) and so this is meant to mean it is effective immediately.
