Mirena vs dienogest after surgery?

Hi everyone, hope you're ok.

My consultant wants me to have a mirena in during my surgery, but I have done some research and seen that dienogest is possibly better for preventing recurrence (especially of cysts). I also like the idea of taking a pill that I am in control of, rather than having the coil floating around inside me. I am also planning to start trying for a baby about 6 months after surgery, and have seen research that dienogest could be a good option from that point of view too. However, I've also seen research that patients are more satisfied with mirena than dienogest as a treatment, and my consultant was very reluctant (just short of refusing) to prescribe dienogest.

Does anyone have experience of these that might help me make a decision? I am most worried about stopping the endo from coming back and damaging my fertility.
