Confused and seeking advice
Anyway - had
Mirena
coil fitted, it has helped with the pelvic pain and the ridiculous heavy periods, still have pain around ovulating and what would be period week, but it is manageable. It hasn't helped with the digestive issues or the pain during sex.

Diagnosis, sort of..
The gynae team want to explore the
mirena
coil route before any surgery to confirm which seems odd to me. I've expressed my concerns over how it could affect my moods again & generally the thought of it just doesn't sit right with me.

Decisions re possible surgery
Stay as I am (
mirena
coil in situ) and be referred for pain management. 2. Zoladex injections (chemical menopause). 3. Surgery to remove endo from the various places but not remove womb 4. Surgery to remove endo and hysterectomy.

Been told by gynae I'm too old for endo but gp disagrees?
Also, have wet myself :( I'm not having periods as a
Mirena
coil was fitted. I've been signed off and my gp is almost certain it is classic Endometriosis. The specialist was adamant it couldn't be as I am too old. My gp disagrees with this. My appointment has been expedited.

CA 125 levels and ovarian cyst
The consultant wants to fit a
mirena
and take out the cyst which is in 3 weeks time. He also ordered bloods , my CA125 came back yesterday at 42 (also still anaemic 🙈). His secretary said he isn't overly worried about the levels . I just feel a little lost and nervous about things really .

Coil removal - won't stop bleeding
I had my
mirena
coil removed on the 26th January (wasn't sitting right with me, I had it in for almost 4 months) and since I seem to be non stop bleeding, I then seem to completely stop for a day and then it starts over again really heavy and clots etc.

hormonal issues- is it the mirena coil?
I have got the
mirena
coil and have had since last year, however I’ve noticed whenever I am due on I still suffer with bad anxiety/depression, get bad cramps on my left side, fatigue and just feel an emotional wreck 🙈.

Coil and Endometriosis
I had my first laparoscopy back in May 2022 and I had a
mirena
coil put in as this was meant to help with the endo. A little background, it took me 9 years to be diagnosed and was put on every pill under the sun because my body would basically override it within 6-18 months.

Found out coils are sometimes replaced after 4 yrs instead of 5, when used for managing endo symptoms!
I spoke to the
Mirena
coil specialist GP at my practice and she mentioned that they're sometimes changed after 4 years instead of 5 when being used for endo symptom management instead of just contraception.

Low hemoglobin
I started hemodialysis in Aug with an emergency chest catheter. I had 2 units of blood as my hemoglobin was low while in hospital. Then in hospital again in September and another 2 units of blood. Got my labs today and hemoglobin was 6.8 so they gave me Mircera and iron. When I did PD I got Mircera

Excision - is it worth it?
Then there is the question of future management such as by having the
mirena
coil but I have heard lots of negative stories putting me off this. I feel like I can't win and I'm just not sure what to do next!

Boosting Low labido, Testosterone, progesterone
I know oestrogen can have a negative impact on thyroid function but I am debating the mini pill or
mirena
as progeterone only. I am already taking zinc and try to manage stress and get enough sleep. Help I want my sex drive back!

Copper IUD and Endometriosis link
Hi, I’m curious to find out if having the copper coil (non hormonal one - not
Mirena
) may have triggered my endometriosis. Especially where mine was (uteral ligaments - behind the womb). Just wondered if anyone else has had a Copper coil and since suffered with Endo?

I've tricycled my pill and also had a
