Mirapex

Has anyone tried Mirapex and how has it been working for you.

I try to wean off Pramipexole (Mirapex) periodically and my body does not let me do it.. I get RLS - either from withdrawal -OR- I got RLS since I started taking Mirapex and did not know it until trying to eliminate it. I wish I never started taking the sh*t. I believe it is highly addictive.

I was feeling fine for a while besides always being constipated. I went for a colonoscopy back in late June because I was having blood and mucus in my stool. Took 2 g at noon, when I would normally take Mirapex, .25mg. Repeated at 7:30 this evening, and with no relief in sight, added another g of that vile tasting mix. Now 4 hours later, and no results from the Kratom.

I was on Sinemet for several months and a new neurologist changed me to Mirapex. I have been on it for two moths and it is not working as well as Sinemet. I have read several reports that it is very difficult to come off Mirapex. Has anyone come off it and how difficult was it?

Hi, I've been taking mirapex for many years. After reading some posts here I am coming to a conclusion that my current feeling of being stuck in life is an OCD pattern. It makes sense. Please tell me of any compulsions you may have had from mirapex.

I have been taking mirapex for several years and am taking the maximum dosage allowed me.which is 4 mg. first it takes up to 2 hrs for it to begin to work if indeed it will work at all.

Has anyone experienced this whilst taking Pramipexole. The side effects of this drug seem endless whilst on the other hand it seems to really help with the RLS.

Dr prescribed mirapex but im scared to death to take it...ive read the side effects and that is SCARY! !! I don't know what to do! One dr thinks it's my anxiety waking me up....I hate meds..I have a med phobia. I feel like with all I'm dealing with im gonna lose my mind!!

Hi all, Was on mirapex and topamax for night eating syndrome. Have always been on topamax ( 5 years) and have always been thin. Was put on mirapex exactly 1 year ago and have slowly gained 30lbs. I stopped mirapex july30th. Has anyone gained weight on this medication?

Slowly gained 30 lbs over the past year on mirapex. Discontinued it 7/31. When will the weight start coming off? Help!

Started a colonoscopy prep yesterday at noon its now 16 hours later and have taken 4 dulcolax,64oz of miralax and 10 oz of magnesium citrate without having a bowel movement. Test is 6 hours away. What do i do? I know this is where i get all my thyroid questions answered but i am desperate!

Anyone considering going on mirapex I would advise a strong NO. After ramping up in dose for close to 20 years I find I am going nuts trying to get off of it. My doctor has me on a neurontin based med called Horizant ER.

I asked my doctor if i could try mirapex or some other drugs such as rotigotine & gabapentin. He told me that gabapentin is no use for rls and i might as well use amitriptyline first if im wanting those drugs.

I'm 15 & When the pain was really really bad, We had thought it was my appendix, So we went to the hospital, Waited 5 hours to hear I was constipated. The had done X-rays & Urine test & CT Scan. Afterwards they gave me morphine for the pain and told me to get MiraLax which I did. It sort of helped not
