What to do

Started a colonoscopy prep yesterday at noon its now 16 hours later and have taken 4 dulcolax,64oz of miralax and 10 oz of magnesium citrate without having a bowel movement. Test is 6 hours away. What do i do? I know this is where i get all my thyroid questions answered but i am desperate!

Call the hospital and ask them to put you through to the unit - you need advice from one of the nurses there. They may be able to put you further down the list of cases or ask you to attend another day.

I take it you've drunk plenty? (Sorry, I know that's a daft question)

Did they not give you 2 sachets of stuff to take?

I had one 3 months ago. Within a minute of taking that stuff, my guts were gurgling & a minute later WOW!! I swear I left the seat, such was the force.

Main thing is relax! They'll know what to do.

I have heard people talk of the sachets but my"prep kit" did not contain them. Thank you so much!

When I had mine done I think I got a kit sent through the post and had the same result as knackersyard.result was instant - amazing really but somehow or another it wasn't as bad as I had been led to believe by a friend who described what would happen. Can't see how they can do it if you haven't been 'cleaned out'

They used to give you Picolax and within 1/4 hour you didn't dare stay too far from a toilet.
