Oligometastisis? Cut it out!
Ppppopp brought up the issue of oligometastisis and the idea of removing it. My oncologist and I have briefly discussed removing a lesion on the liver that has been reduced to insignificance by Letrozole. I want it cut out with surgery with the hope that it wouldn't grow ,again. She says that that

Possible progression
Hi everyone, I have just had my scan result and after more than 2.5 years being stable with spread to the bone, I now have a dark area in the liver and some tiny lung nodules have grown a little bit. I have been on Ibrance and Letrozole with Denusomab injections, which I have found quite easy to take

How to stop weight loss?
Hello. For the past 2-3 months I've been having trouble maintaining weight. It has dropped as low as 104. I should be around 115-120 for my height. I am vegan, don't drink, and am trying to shove in the calories. I've also experienced some stomach upset (mild nausea) that makes eating unappealing. I've

HER2- changed to HER2+
Hello breasties, So, the first treatment of MBC which was Ibrance and Letrozole stopped working after just a few short months. My oncologist is now suggesting Faslodex only as a next treatment. He also told me that my cancer went from being HER2 negative to HER2 positive. Has this happened to any of

Ibrance, Letrozole and Denosumab
Hi ladies, after feeling down, having chest pain and feeling tired all the time I now feel ok. Goodness knows what was going on the week I was off my Ibrance. Anyway, I had my bloods done and results were good. As I had chest pain I had to see a Cardiologist and have an ECG. That was all ok. Then I had

Fulvestrant and Denosumab
Fulvestrant! Does anyone take this with Denosumab? Would be greatful to know how it has worked for other people? My mum has been down hill from April since we found out tumors had grown with a year on palbociclib and letrozole they switched her to tamoxifen during lockdown and further scans showed progression

2 Doctors said, “unheard of”, while smiling from ear to ear!
I have been taking Ibrance and letrozole for 28 months now for metastatic breast cancer. When diagnosed, it was already in breast, lymph nodes, liver, lung, and vertebrae. A few weeks ago, I had a CT Scan. The only cancer showing was a couple spots in vertebrae...all other places were unremarkable...

Letrozole, sense of taste/smell?
I have been taking letrozole for a week now and noticed over the last few days that I sometimes have what I would describe as a chemically taste in my mouth and if I sniff I can smell it too. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm on herceptin and perjeta infusions also and finished taxotere chemo 3

Letrozole tablets
I am hoping you ladies while help we calm down a bit.... So basically the clinic prescribed me 5mg of letrozole to take day 2-6 and I thought was to be taken morning and night but I have just realised it was only meant to be once a day.... I think I have got it confused with the tablet given to induce

Four Years!
Hi everyone, hope you all are well. I’ve seen my consultant today and, as I thought, my options are almost exhausted. I’ve been on Cyclophosphamide for three months - it hasn’t done anything and my tumours have all grown a bit. I’ve been having quite a few bowel issues - there seems to be an ever present

CT scan not what I'd hoped😔
Hello I have just had a telephone appointment with my oncologist following Friday's scan. I completed round 6 of taxotere mid August and will continue with herceptin and perjeta infusions which I have been having along side the chemo. So back to the results...he started off by telling me that it's complicated

PAIN IN THE ARM (NOT IN THE KNEE)
Years ago when I was in college, when I was 22, I shattered my right arm learning how to jump the vault in PE. I jumped a perfect jump but the landing was a disaster with 2 complete breaks and about 15 cracks. I had surgery and a plate and 5 wood (!) screws in it. They are still there and caused me no

Right knee pain
Hello all MBC, my treatment is Ibrance and Letrozole going on 9 months. About a month ago my right knee started giving me excruciating pain at times. Got a knee brace, stops my circulation a bit, got creams and over the counter pain killers. I am open to suggestions, need to fix it, otherwise I

Hello breasties! Hope everyone is doing well. So, I don’t know if any of you remember my story... I’m the one who’s boyfriend decided to throw me out after 6 months of diagnosis of MBC because HE couldn’t handle it. The boyfriend, it still hurts but I don’t cry anymore. I’m less depressed. He actually

Pregabalin
Hi everyone I’ve just been reading some posts . I can’t believe the affect RLS has on so many people’s lives . It is just so so sad 😞. I started Pregabalin nearly 3 weeks ago . I know the dose of 25 mg is far too low but have requested a higher dose from my gp . I rang my pharmacy today and they have

Sick and tired of being sick and tired!
Hello everyone! I’m on Ibrance and Letrozole for 7 months now. My dear boyfriend of 5 years decided to leave me 3 months ago because “ HE couldn’t handle it”. I stopped all the crying and stuff. But I’d say, the last 2 months or so I am soooooo tired. Even the stairs feels like I’m climbing Mount Everest
