B12 and folate patches - any good?
Hi am currently researching supplementing my loading doses with a B12 patch as I suspect my GP will be unlikely to increase/extend my loading doses after the initial 6 given she feels my B12 levels at 215 are normal. I haven't the mental energy for a fight and it seems that most people on this site

Methyl- and Adenosyl- cobalamin
There was a thread on here recently about the problem with taking
methylcobalamin
alone. The Wiki article on
methylcobalamin
said that one should take adenosylcobalamin as well as
methylcobalamin
as the latter cannot be converted to the former.

Sublingual Methylcobalamin B12 tablets by Solgar
I wanted to add that after a lot of back and forth with my doctor about shots, I have decided to switch to sublingual
Methylcobalamin
tablets by Solgar, a vitamin company based in New Jersey with very good reputation.

Can't face the damn gp for B12...
Just need some guidance here - I am pretty sure I have a B12 deficiency. I have taken advice form expert patients on here and started to supplement with Thorne Research Basic B Complex and Solgar's methylcobalamine, at 5000mcg per day (chose that rather than 1000 for reasons below). I want to give it

or "Is it because you switched from cyanocobalamin to
methylcobalamin
?". I can only answer, "I don't think so", but, really, how am I supposed to know? I do suspect that it isn't a consequence of B12 deficiency, but I don't know (yet) what is causing it. I've been going through various testing.

Seeking advice on Adenosylcobalamin for P.A
Both these forms, unlike
methylcobalamin
, can be broken down into adenosylcobalamin, or so it is claimed... (although they are not as 'bioavailable' as the methyl form).

MMA Testing; B12 Side Effects
I have difficulty with both
methylcobalamin
(it makes me very tired, almost groggy) and hydroxycobalamin (gives me energy and focus but a bad headache); thus the very low levels of supplementation.

Struggling a bit
I thought I had been getting along fairly well with my treatment regime of weekly
methylcobalamin
injections. I had cut back on folic acid tablets to only once a week and hadn't had a return of mouth ulcers, so I figured that was fine also.

Cutting Solgar Sublingual Methylcobalamin, 5000 mcg in half. Is it possible
I am considering getting some sublingual
methylcobalamin
. I am not sure whether to buy 1000mcg or 5000mcg as I don't know how much to start with. Is it possible to cut them in half? Should I also take folate with it and if so how much is usual.

B12 and Vit D deficency. What else should I take?
As I can't get another B12 injection till after 3 months and am still exhausted I am going to try sub lingual Solgar
methylcobalamin
5000 mcg. My brain is starting to get fogged up and I have read about needing vit K2 and other vitamins. Is K2 needed to help the D3.

Can't tolerate Methylcobalamin, should I not take Methylfolate??
I want to supplement and keep reading about how it is NOT good to supplement with synthetic folic acid & I should be taking methyfolate instead, but I'm just wondering if this is a good idea considering my reaction to
methylcobalamin
?

B12 General and Treatment advice for a Newbie
I have arranged a couple of private B12 injections (5000mcg of
Methylcobalamin
) next week and will perhaps have two more the week after. I cannot afford to pay for any more private injections after this so in the meantime I was going to purchase my own B12 injections and self-inject.

Different Types of Methyl B12?
I have had PA for years and have been able to control it with Methyl injections. The Federal Drug Administration here in the states has put many regulations on pharmacies so my pharmacy stopped creating the Methyl B12. I found another pharmacy in Michigan that creates methyl so I thought I was good

B12 Recovery
I started doing
methylcobalamin
sublinguals immediately, and hydroxycobalimin shots a month later. My levels are now very high, which is fine for B12.

Responding to subingual B12 Methylcobalamin Spray?
Since I've been using B12Boost sublingual spray for the last 3 weeks I seem to be gradually improving in many small ways from being seriously ill and everything that goes with Pernicious Aaemia. Does this mean I wasn't converting it from my food intake before? Can anyone shed any light on that before
