I’m just not myself anymore, after surgery
I am on 20 mg per day on
methimazole
which I’ve taken before so I have no probs with the
methimazole
. I didn’t take any Rx pain meds after surgery just over the counter tylenol and for only 3 days. The Dr.’s are all clueless about what’s wrong with me.

I have hashimotos with graves, and still on
Methimazole

Clutter if you can help with my results, or other comments most grateful. Thanks
This month my Tsh is 2.95 I was diagnosed last year as having hashimotos and graves, and still taking
Methimazole
except my dosages are 2.5 mg once a day only on Mon, Wed, and Friday. Clutter I hope to hear from you, since you always do, but appreciate all other comments. Thanks so much.

Need some advice. Increase to 100mcg?High cholesterol and folate.
Hello everybody. I'm a newbie to the community. I was diagnosed with Grave's disease in 12/2016 and took Thiamazole since then. In early 2017, thiamazole didn't work well with me anymore and my hyperthyroidism was out of control. I then had radioactive iodine therapy in 9/2017 and started to take L-thyroxine

Confused if I’m truly Hyper
I was taken off synthroid and put on
methimazole
50 mg. Then, I got worse. My blood pressure was very high, I gained 40 lbs, I felt like I was dying. My levels changed every week. I’m confused if I am still hyper or am I hypo. I’m big, swollen, hair falling out in chunks, high blood pressure etc.

Help with Graves Disease
I was started on 20 mgs of
methimazole
, but this amount fluctuates due to tsh, t3, t4 test results. I am 66 years old, have major joint aches, panic attacks and cannot walk far distances due to back pain. Lately, over the past year, rather than being hot all of the time, I have been FREEZING.

Having rashes and itchiness all over my body.
My doctor prescribed me to take
Methimazole
(5mg) for 2 weeks. Then, I had to go back here in Brunei to work, and when my medications were finished already, they prescribed me Carbimazole (5mg) for 1 month. Then, I noticed that I was having rashes and felt itchy all the time.

HAVE GRAVES, AFRAID OF GOING HYPO
I’ve been treated for 2 months with 10-15 mg of
Methimazole
and 25mg atenenol. My tests are in range now and I have no Graves symptoms except rough, dry patches on my cheeks, and chin. Also some muscle aches. Isn’t dry skin a symptom of being hypo, not hyper?

Hypothyroid diagnose in August 2017
All I know is since August 16 I've been on 15 mg of
methimazole
& 60 mg daily of propranolol and my thyroid levels are fine now. My doc didn't really diagnose me tho. But feels since I'm responding well to these 2 meds I should just stay this course.

Swollen thyroid? Graves disease diagnosed 7/17
I'm on 5 mg
methimazole
once a day. T3 and T4 came within normal ranges within three weeks on being on meds. TSH not normal as of last month, but having more blood work soon. In the last week, I feel a new symptom--it feels like someone is almost choking me. I feel SO SICK.

I have some Blood Test Results- 1st post
Prior to surgery I was on 15mg of
Methimazole
, but have been on nothing since day of surgery. I also put in a request for the Free T3 test. Thank you so much in advance. I've been chomping at the bit for my labs ever since I found this site.

I just found this site, TU!, and here is a synopsis of what's going on with me.
They were going to take my whole thyroid, but it finally became stable after continually upping
methimazole
to 15mg/day.

Lugol's solution-induced painless thyroiditis
Following these results, a family physician prescribed
methimazole
10 mg PO TID and very soon after, the TSH concentration rose to >100 U/L along with subnormal free T4 and T3 levels.
Methimazole
was promptly discontinued, namely within 18 days of its initiation.
