Does it really get better after Pramipexole?
Hello Everyone. My husband experiences RLS, since he was 13. For many years he was untreated, but around the time of university it got bad -- so he went to a neurologist and was put on DA's. For the first couple years, he was on something he can't remember, but then got switched to Pramipexole. He estimates

Methadone vs Tramadol
One thing that’s loud and clear from this forum is that nearly everyone finds comfort from a different type or mix of drug. No one size fits all! However from what I’ve read so far it seems that nearly everyone is positive about their experience with Methadone. If someone feels they need an opioid to

Shortness of breath remedy? Methadone fixed RLS for years. Suddenly short of breath keeps me awake. Need solution.
Methadone 10mg resolved my RLS for years. Gradually supplemented it with THC to relax before bed, and Recently took too much THC and went into panic short of breath feeling. Ativan took care of it. Thought I’d be back to normal (stopped THC), but now short of breath every night. Ativan every night not

RLS TREATMENT: Every day I read questions and answers on this forum and I would like to share with you some of my concerns
about the replies given to the many RLS sufferers who are struggling with their medication. All medications, if you read the leaflets, have side-effects and complications and at the end of the day, we have to weigh up which ones are going to be effective for each of us individually. 1.Dopamine Agonists

I am so scared
Please I am reaching out. I am so sad worried I just want to die! My brother is accusing me of conspiring against him. In the past he has been treated with meds for paranoia and anxiety. He came through it and remembers how the meds helped his thinking. My husband recently got very angry with

Still have to completely avoid triggers while on opioids?
So, with the possibility of a hospital admittance being in my future, I’m sure they’ll want to get me on medications for my stomach that will not agree with my legs. They’ll also probably have me eating a BRAT diet. I’m scared. Last night I woke up a bunch of times and I was restless and had nothing

Information on long term effects of Methadone.
Finally saw one of the few Physicians in my State who specialize in RLS. She trained at Mayo Clinic. I am 78 years old and recently detoxed from many years of taking Ropinerole. She prescribed 5 mg Methadone. ....I am now waiting on the results of my bloodwork and have a return appointment. i

Leaving Ropinirole for Buprenorphine - Do I needed to ease off R first?
Hello, Quick question. If I am able to have my doctor prescribe Buprenorphine will I need to slowly come off Ropinirole while taking Buprenorphine or can I just stop Ropinirole? I see the doctor first week of January and think I could start reducing Ropinirole now but would rather not do it over the

Article from John-Hopkins regaurding the effects of opiates on RLS
No question, I just wanted to post some of an article regaurding the effects of opiates on RLS (the full text can be found on John Hopkins university website. Dr. Willis (as in Willis-Ekbomb disease / RLS) in his description of this disease in 1685 also reported on the benefits of opiates for treating

Methadone. For anyone taking it I’d like to know your thoughts good or bad
My neurologist is starting me on 2.5 mg methadone. The Tramadol wasn’t working well anymore. Has anyone been on methadone long term. I would love to hear anyone’s experience with this med.

Good evening
Good evening. I wish you all freedom from torment. I'm from Poland. I was treated with antipsychotics and antidepressants for six months. And then, three months ago, I felt my feet. It was like an electric shock to my legs. And now-the current, the needles, the heat waves, the dull pain in my legs. The

Folate levels
Good morning all. So I mentioned the other day that after a blood test my folate was very low. Even with a regular 400ug maintenance dose & trying Methylfolate along the way, with SI B12 every other day for almost 2 years now. Those who know my story will know I believe my extremely high dose of OxyContin
