Does this mean we should supplement Taurine; I take it at night to help me sleep
TWIST1 is an important transcription factor in EMT, which is present under both physiologic (embryogenesis) and pathologic (

Seeking advice about Xeloda dosing and side effect management.
After two months on Faslodex/Ibrance my CA 15-3 is skyrocketing and liver mets are increasing. I will probably be starting oral Xeloda very soon. I would really appreciate hearing from those of you who have used it. I weigh about 128 lbs (58 kilos) and have heard that the dose is based upon body size

My cancer markers have been slowly rising for the last 3 months, but this lab showed they've doubled. My wbc counts and neuts are 2 and.8
This all terrifies me as I recovered from APL leukemia only to have breast cancer return four months later. I've been on faslodex, xgeva, and ibrance since November of 2019. Counts were ok until April when my cancer markers started slowly rising. I had a UTI, so oncologist was not too worried. This lab

My last labs revealed a WBC count of 2, but my neuts were at .8. Has anyone every had this happen on Ibrance and Faslodex?
Really worried since I now have metastatic breast cancer after recovering from APL leukemia.

Hello
My name is Lisa and I’m a 48 year old woman from East Boston, MA. I was diagnosed as having metastatic breast cancer (already spread to bone) on May 1 of last year (2018). It was a total shock and it still feels surreal. I already suffer from Major Depressive Disorder and Anxiety, for which I’ve been

Coming up on number 6
Scans are looking great with no new
metastasis
and previous
metastasis
being resolved. Our hope is after this last injection we’ll do a choline PET scan and try to locate any residual lesions and hit them with SBRT. This treatment has done great things for me with minimal side effects.

How long does Lupron + Zytiga take to be effective?
Newly diagnosed with
metastasis
to distant lymph nodes (peritoneal) but no bone. Prostate Biopsy showed adenocarcinoma in 12 of 15 samples, all GS 4+4, except two 4+5. Prostate is 102 g. I’m 70. My question has to do with when Lupron and or Zytiga become effective.

Dad with nearly daily low grade fevers
He is currently getting radiation to the prostate and the bone
metastasis
in the right hip bone. He had an axumin scan which showed cancer in the right acetabulum, right pelvic bones, a soft tissue mass in that area and the lymph nodes in the pelvic area.

Has anyone had liver metastases that resulted in ascites? If so did it resolve on its own or did they treat with diuretics or paracentesis?
I received taxotere and carbo my first round and my LFTs went down significantly but my abdomen seems to be worse and I have a lot of swelling in my legs.. I have my second round tomorrow and only getting taxotere this time.

Updated Insider's Guide to Metastatic Breast Cancer
That said, the version on the
Metastasis
Research site was written in 2017 and is out of date. I've not been able to reach anyone there to upload the most recent version, which is current as of April 2019 - even after trying numerous times.

Anyone had FLOT treatment?
At which point they will rest 3 months - and if after re-staging with PET and laparoscopy - there was no evidence of
metastasis
and tumour was sufficiently shrunk/ inactive then surgery wil be considered. Has anyone else had this treatment?
