cancer marker 15-3
My moms marker went up from 163 to 332 . She started her second line treatment about 7 weeks ago after being on Ibrance and Femara for around 2 and half years. She is now on faslodex and anfintor. Does this mean its not working ? And if it’s not will they change both meds or just one of them? Thank

No distant

. I am working with a multidisciplinary team (UO, MO, and RO) with Kaiser in Anaheim, CA. Based on an analysis of the PET, the team believed it was unlikely that a RP/Lymph disection would be able to completely remove the PC.

interesting Xeloda trial
Hi friends, I listened to a presentation summarizing reports from ASCO 2023 related to MBC, and what really interested me was that for Xeloda, a fixed dose taken one week on/one week off, produced as good results as current standard of care with fewer side effects. Also: cream form of Voltaren/diclofenac

PSA 6.9 six years after prostatectomy but PET/CT negative?
The question was would it also indicate
metastasis
to the bones or other organs. At this point, I was resigned to my fate. Then last night in a bit of a shocker (to me at least), the test came back clean. Totally clean. No sign of prostate cancer anywhere.

PSA rise but scans are clear. Appetite and activity level are 0
But all scans have come back “clear” in that there is no significant change in
metastasis
etc. we are at a point now where he barely gets out of bed each day because he is in so much pain. If we don’t prompt him to eat, he won’t and has gone some days without consuming more than a cup of coffee.

May be doing IV chemo for the first time. Need tips - really freaked out!
Hi, so I’ve successfully avoided doing IV chemo since 2019. But due to bone mets I just had hip surgery and the pills I’ve been on are not working. I was told by the surgeon 2 days ago that I need systemic treatment asap or I’ll die. I’m having a petscan tomorrow and depending on how it looks, I’ll

Stage 4 nsclc advanced to adrenal gland
I'm wondering if I should attribute this to the
metastasis
-has anyone had similar story, and if so, what helped to stay "ok" at least? Thanks!

CT scan
I started on Ibrance and Anastrozole roughly in June 2023. Took it for 2 months and had to go off Ibrance for 5 weeks for surgery. Back on it for a month. Has a CT scan which showed more bone Mets and increased size. A node in lungs which was not seen on previous scan 6 months ago. Discouraged to think

Treatment Decision: Now considering surgery
Even though my PSMA and MRI do not show any
metastasis
there
is
one comment on the MRI report about "suspicion of multi-focal extra-capsular extension" which the team at MSK interpret as likely activity in the prostate bed. So Dr.

PSA "negative" PSMA positive metastasis
Kwon when discussing this lesion was yes you have permission to add me to the case series of individuals with these type of
metastasis
. Review of my profile will show that I was a Gleason 9 at my diagnosis and clearly my tumor is devolving or evolving based on your perspective.

Feeling low. Wind out of my sails
Update - Saw doc this morning and I was hoping that the Enhertu would be working after the 4th cycle, but markers went up +289. Now I am at 2130 (15.3) and the general tumor markers are up almost 4 pts to 56. He said I could do another round of Enhertu and I just said, look, just over a year now and

best treatment after Xeloda?
I was diagnosed with MBC in Feb 2022 with bone mets. I am HER2 low ER positive. I have been on kisquali, Ibrance, Faslodex, and lastly 4 rounds of Xeloda. Nothing seems to stop my progression, Kisquali sent my liver enzymes sky high. Ibrance/Faslodex progression was slow and markers rose. Xeloda

What is role of hormonal therapy drug when taken with targeted therapy, eg Piqray or Ibrance?
I’ve been curious about this and wondering if anyone can explain. I want to better understand the role of the hormone therapy eg Faslodex when taken with targeted therapy such as Ibrance. Does it just reduce the amount of estrogen available to the cell and “lightens the load” on the targeted therapy?

Side effects experienced once you add Zytiga to Orgovyx
My understanding from reviewing the Stampede trial research is that adding Zytiga would increase the prostate specific survival from 85% to 93% ( not negligible) and the
metastasis
free survival would increase from 69% to 82% , which seems significant.
