Mestinon

Je prends aussi du Mestinon pour la motilité intestinale. Le psyllium marche un peu et non irritant. Eau Hepar. Je tente Linaclotide, qui a des retours ? Je souffre après chaque repas et je suis d ailleurs en sous poids. Intolérances alimentaires dans tous les sens. Constipation et ballonnements.

I was started on Mestinon fairly quickly and felt an improvement in my energy levels. I had nerve tests which came back normal.

[u]TREATMENT OVER THE YEARS[/u] Mestinon- unsuccessful Immuran - liver damage Cellcept- unsuccessful Plasmapheresis - unsuccessful IVIG- unsuccessful SFEMG- abnormal Prednisone in high dosage that is then tapered down to 5mg has relieved the double vision.

However, the tests all came to nothing, am still on a 1mg dose of prednisone day and 60mg of mestinon. During one of many visits to see neurologist,the registrar recommended an in depth thyroid panel be done. Was overruled by neurologist and not done.

Mestinon is one drug that has proved helpful for some people with ME/CFS. Pain signals are believed to need to pass through a series of checkpoints or gates in order to make to the brain. Those gates are believed to be opened wider than usual in FM.

Many of you answered back when I mention what happen last April when she took cipro and mestinon . Anyone have any comment on situation now. Thanks

Been on mestinon but not currently working for me at the moment. Really bad double vision and droopy eyelid following a diabetic retinopathy exam on Friday. The first time I have had those symptoms. My main symptoms are related to the jaw. Can't eat or speak without support.

Taking just half of a Mestinon was like paint stripper on the stomach so I don't take it. I told the MG consultant I wouldn't be coming back as it was just a box ticking exercise. Unfortunately my once tolerant nature has become intolerant.

No steroids because of diabetes,hopefully mestinon helps. All I hope it will not progress to respiratory muscles.

I am NOT going back to hospital, however fast my heart goes, as I feel I can cope better at home, go rest, take Mestinon when I need to and go on CPAP if I need. I felt so scared that no-one was considering the MG symptoms which could potentially be far more life threatening.

Hi, Has anyone tried Mestinon(pyridostigmin) for releiving disphagia in parkinson? What were the side effects? Is it safe to use? What can be used for disphagia? Doctor priscribe it for my mother but I am afraid it cause adverse effects on her. Your response will be appreciated. Thanks Sophie

treatment other than mestinon

I have been prescribed a drug called Mestinon, after three weeks can honestly say it's changed my life, has anyone else been prescribed it? I have dysautonomia, EDS 111, I live in the north of Scotland.

Currently I was just switched from 100mg of levothroxine to 125mg of synthroid and I take 60mg 4 times a day of mestinon, I take vitamin d and b-complex daily along with a multi.. If anyone knows of any other supplements or treatments or even diet modifications please let me know..
