Just got back from my Doc. The last time my PSA had risen to 97 so I was at the edge of needing to change to something else fast or else I was really going to start hurting.

I've been taking a shot of Lupron in my butt, along side Xtandi and an IV once a month that makes my bones denser. I can't remember the name of it.

It's down to 50 now and I couldn't feel better. I might regret saying that since my first shot 3 months ago gave me flu symptoms for a day.

If I feel great tomorrow and have no flu like symptoms, will that mean........... wait for it................ I got used to................ wait for it............... taking it in the ass?

Consider no bad effects a blessing . Is it zometa? Now ,let’s grind it down to zero . Ive heard of some our fine fellows skating by on ADT with little side effects . I hope that is you . My experience of six years on constant adt is that the first 18 months were the worst for me . It took me three years of clear reports before I finally relaxed a bit . So if you’re doing well , may that persist . Work out often getting cardio and weight bearing to strengthen those bones . You’re doing well in the initial first round . It’s a marathon .. Great job on the first lap . Reason to smile🥳✌️😎

If you're talking about the stuff that solidifies bones, I think it might be Zometa but you could also say it's Ghostbuster ecto juice and I'd say, "Yeah that's probably it."

Yeah I hope it's me too. It would be nice to have something that works for a couple of years than months. I've been through about 3 medicines and had a 9 month break of no medicine with my PSA going down to almost nothing because.... reasons.

I’m sorry about 3 meds ? How did you feel during that 9 month break .? I just got my 4 th shot of prolia for bone density . It and bone nutrients both for two years improved my density 10% when otherwise I was losing%15-5%.. it sucks to think in life in terms of months . APC has a hard psychology .. my uro said that i Had 36 months at most .. I’m pushing six years past dx in March . So Fight FinalBossMatt... 💪🏋🏽‍♂️Good luck brother . 😷✌️

About the three meds. The first one worked for 9 months and my PSA started going up again. The Doc thought I could stop taking it and see what happens. Surprisingly it went down because....... REASONS. Another that had a surprisingly cheap version only worked for maybe 2 months, and 3rd worked for, I think another 9 months.

Anyone who is reading this, don't bother asking what they were because I can't remember the names, and it would be pointless because if they had trouble working for me doesn't mean they wouldn't be good for you. This isn't an exact science.

It hasn't always been sunshine and rainbows. The worst was at the beginning. My body wasn't handling the death of my testosterone production. I had to have a high amount of fats in my diet to balance my hormones. Yeah there was some obvious risk but if I cut out all fats and just went raw Vegan like people told me to do and juice myself to death, I'd still be curled up in the fetal position crying in my room. I think I had a 72 hour window where if I wasn't careful the CRAZIES would kick in.

It's been about 3 1/2 years now and I feel much better.

🤪😜🤪😜🤪😜

You sound just like me . I took losing t very hard . I fought myself 3 years until I accepted my lot .. I tried the juicing originally myself , yuk , I couldn’t do that as a staple . Hang in there Matt .. it is all part of the joy ride . Be well .😎

I think you're missing the point. It wasn't about "accepting" this. I was going absolutely out of my mind and it was extremely difficult to hold on mentally since my body was chemically adjusting to having low to no testosterone. I had to fight fits of anger and crying. I could hold on to my logic though. Like one when I didn't hear from my girlfriend on the messenger we talk on all the time for 2 hours, I thought she was, "through" with me. Logically I knew how stupid that was. I never blew up on her though.

I had to have my fat intake high so I could feel like a normal human being. I figured out a quick meal to help with that too. I loved microwaving rice with a tablespoon of coconut oil and then putting two egg yolks on it. LOADED up with some kick ass fats. When I ate meals like that, it balanced out my hormones and I felt normal again.

Some people didn't go though that, and I sure as hell did. I would have rather gone through all sorts of physical pain than feel like I'm losing my mind.

I am sorry I guess I didn’t make my point clear to you . I went thru self imposed hormonally empty rages and rants for years my friend . I had the barrel to my head more than once . For me it was 100% self induced self loathing . I was relating to you the chemically imbalanced hell in which I still live today . I made an advance away from suicidal ideations by accepting rather than fighting self 24/7 .. Maybe I’ll try rice and coconut the next time that i rage ? Good luck 👍

My heart is strong. I just need to get the weight off to lower the bad stuff, and our body runs on Cholesterol too. :)

Okay I get what you mean Lulu, hard to know how this silliness affects people. :)

I use coconut oil instead of butter when I cook my rice. Adds a nice flavor.
