Good morning to all my ms family. I pray everyone is doing as well as they can taming this monster named MS.

I had a Neurologist appt Wednesday. I was having a little problem with major more than normal fatigue stopping my Gilyena to switch to Ocrevus. So he ordered a 3 day round of solumedrol and some PT on my back. Having problem with my core muscles from surgery. Just having trouble walking without stooping over all the time. Last but not least my yearly MRIs of brain t spine c spine with and without contrast so they can knock me out and take all the pictures they want.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ€£.

Then had my second half dose of Ocrevus yesterday and I am feeling and walking a little better this morning which is great. I get my steroids I should be good to go for a while.😁😁.

And I’ve got to go back for a sleep study cause the bpap I use doesn’t seem to be doing the job anymore. So I’ve been busy and will be busy for a while.

But I still check in when I can.

Love y’all

Donnie

Take my hat off. I’m like Burt Reynolds in Smokey and the Bandit. I only take my hat of for one reason.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ€£.

The Ocrevus is starting to kick in pretty good so I feel better today.

Don’t I wish. That’s my Zepplin monster and I do mean monster. We’ve raised a lot of kids over the years but he is the stubbornness hardheaded orneriest sweetest little one we ever dealt with.🀭πŸ€ͺ😜.

He doesn’t listen to anything or anybody. A 20 month old juvenile delinquent. Haha.

He actually threw that hat in the trash we think because it just disappeared one day and we haven’t found it yet.πŸ˜‚πŸ€ͺ😜.

That’s good news to hear about Ocrevus working- I’ll be switching as soon as my insurance approves

I’m looking for good things from it. Thursday was my second half dose and I can tell a differenceuite. The nurse comes later this afternoon to hook me up for my solumedrol and hopefully between the two I’ll feel better than I have in quite a while.

Donnie

Thats what im hoping too. Whats solumedrol? My wifi isn’t working right now so i cant look it up. Heard anything about long term effects of ocrevus? Thats my only worry. I’m sorry to be a debbie downer in this fun conversation

Solumedrol is iv steroids. That’s the fancy name for them. Only from people here that have been taking them for awhile. There are quite a few so at least I’m in good company.πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹. From what I’ve learned since I’ve been dx they all carry a list of side effects you just have to go with your gut as they say.😁😁.

Donnie

Oh so the solemedrol is not since, or because of, the ocrevus?

No not at all. It’s for getting over the stopping the Gilenya I’ve been taking for the last year and a half. It sometimes intensifies the existing symptoms when stopped cold turkey..

Donnie

Allen5280 in reply to Doubled51

I had to have them before every infusion of Ocrevus . those and the IV form of Benadryl and a Tylenol (oral to make the Benadryl more effective)

Doubled51
Doubled51 in reply to Allen5280

They give me a good size syringe before and a tablet Benadryl but this was my first dose so who knows what will happen with the first full dose. Because the tablet Benadryl does nothing for me.

Yow! How long do you have to take that for? Best wishes for you to get rid of THAT aggravation really fast!

Normally 3 to 5 days according to how severe your symptoms are and your neurologist. I’ve only had to do 5 2 times. Some neuros are more lenient with them and like to get ahead of tht game instead of behind. Mine was the latter to begin with until I was having a pretty bad relapse and I finally asked him what the Sam hell did he call a relapse that I had been going thru one for two months and needed some help. Since we’ve been more on the same page.πŸ˜….

Donnie

Nest wishes for good times ahead

Best wishes that is

Thank you and hope insurance gets you approved quickly and you can get started on yours.

Donnie

That's usually how it works. We're overloaded with crap, then things ease up, and it's like whew, made it through. We're tougher than we think.
