Newbie: Bloating - anyone else in the same boat?
I am on amitriptyline and
meloxicam
which are working well and along with great support from my lovely husband, understanding boss, oldest friend who has fibro too and some colleagues who care for someone at home with fibro, all in the garden is rosy.

Meloxicam to Help with Tapering
We were wondering if anyone has had any experience with
Meloxicam
. The rheumy's long term plan is to eliminate prednisone as soon as possible without bringing back the PMR symptoms.

Doctors & fibromyalgia
I seen my gp quite a few times & He fobbed me off with
Meloxicam
7.5mg & Methocarbamol 750mg. He never mentioned fibromyalgia & either did I tbh. He finally said he would refer me to a rheumatologist at start of March this year but never said why.

My doctors will drive me to... death due to conflicting medications.
I also have rheumatoid arthritis for at least 20 years and am on 3 mg prednisone, 15 mg
meloxicam
, 2 shots of Enbrel/week, 7.5 mg methotrexate and have asthma (more inhaled steroids).

Nerve Pain?
I use
Meloxicam
for pain. Today I saw a hand specialist. He said it looks as if each thumb is becoming a trigger thumb. He suggested a steroid injection in the thumb joint. Since my right thumb is worse I went with the injection. I'm beginning to feel like a "steroid injection pin cushion".

Eliquis and Meloxicam
Now I feel I have to stop the
Meloxicam
because of the increased risk of bleeding with the combination of the two drugs. I don't want to!! Does anyone else have arthritis and/or other reasons for taking NSAIDS/
Meloxicam
and had to stop since starting on a DOAC?

Is this a normal feeling with Plaquenil ?
Dr. put me on
Meloxicam
and Plaquenil a week ago. I also take Gabapentin for Fibromyalgia . I feel like I'm dying !! Since I started the Melox. and Plaq. I actually feel like its making my blood boil or something. Its hard to discribe the feeling... just like I can feel it in my blood ???

Dysphagia(difficulty in swallowing) with Sjogren's syndrome.
I already take methotrexate weekly, prednisolone, hydroxychloraquine, salazopyrin and
meloxicam
. I also get lip ulceration about once a year that takes months to heal. I would be happy to correspond with any other sufferers.

on enbrel, now adding arava
I am also taking 5mgs prednisone daily,
meloxicam
every now and then. I also have hashimotos (hypothyroidism) and take levothyroxine. For a person who really dislikes taking any meds, I feel like I am taking quite a bit. I am hesitant to start the avara.

In praise of Hydroxychloroquine
I was started off on 15mg daily Prednisolone followed a few weeks later by HXQ, then tapered off the Pred which was replaced by
meloxicam
. After a month I stopped the
meloxicam
and since then just take 400mg HXQ daily. So far so good. Pain has gone completely, no swelling.

Hi Ive been researching.
I am currently on a low dose of Morphine and Pregabalin (which I am convinced doesn't work) Co-Codamol and
Meloxicam
for pain. I am still in terrible pain. I have even thought about trying to buy Cannabis and use it in food as I don't smoke, but I wouldn't know what I was buying.

Seronegative RA in remission
I still take 2x200mg hydroxychloroquine daily but no more prednisolone and no more
meloxicam
. The reality of RA is that when it goes it usually comes back. I know sustained remission is rare but I'm sure going to enjoy it while it lasts!

Should I be concerned?
I'm taking Simvastatin,
Meloxicam
& Lisinopril. I try to eat healthy-no caffeine & have eliminated any forms of asprin. I excercise daily & drink water constantly. Am retaking labs in October so hope to get a better reading of eGFR then; but should I be concerned?
