Signs of the times-12
Following CT scan and then a biopsy he has been diagnosed with
Melanoma
. As you probably are all aware, it is normally just a skin lesion that can be removed. His has unfortunately metastasised and spread.

For me , because of a history of
melanoma
my haematologist has said hydroxyurea is contraindicated as is interferon as I had an unprovoked PE last year ( she thinks the PE was probs due to undiagnosed PV which was diagnosed as many are, following a routine blood test) .

Pet Scan lights up.
I couldn't even touch my arm after having
melanoma
removed. I don't want to play no more.

Advanced Prostate Cancer: Research Update
It's approved to treat metastatic
melanoma
, which is the deadliest form of skin cancer. Research is underway to see if the drug works in men with prostate cancer. Studies are also going on that combine ipilimumab with Provenge, hormone therapy, and prostate removal surgery.

I got ILD in Aug 2013 from Methotrexate. 2015 I had 3 different types of skin cancer, one of them being
Melanoma
. Now I may have Polycythemia Vera and breast cancer.

... and it's back
On the other hand, the mole on my arm I was keeping a close eye on since it suddenly turned black and a weird shape has disappeared, so not a sign of incipient
melanoma
, more probably a wart, which is a relief. Every cloud etc .... Happy New Year everyone.

About 2 months ago I was diagnosed with malignant
melanoma
stage 2. I am interested in meeting people with a similar diagnosis. Is there anyone based in Kent? Good luck with your journey!

Newly diagnosed with PV
I have just started a series of venesections to see if this helps and if not they are querying starting me on interferon ( I have history of
melanoma
so hydroxyurea is contra-indicated. Also they are changing my rivaroxaban to warfarin.
