Kind of freaked out

So I just noticed this black line on my big toenail. Does anyone else have this or have any advice besides seeing the doc? Is this a Rheumatoid symptom? Please give me some insight. Google says melanoma, so I'm hoping it's RA related. 😳

Don't panic and stay off Dr. Google. You may have PSA instead of RA. My rheumy is investigating my strange toenails too.

Sorry I don't know all of the algorithms. What is PSA?

Psoriatic Arthritis. Symptoms are the same as RA except with psoriasis on the skin. My rheumy told me that a small % of people only show psoriasis under the toe or finger nails.

I had my toenail scraped by my rheumy and sent away to be analized.

Did they scrape the top of your toenail or remove it completely?

they scraped the top.

It looks like a fungus to me. I lost my whole toenail this past summer for no reason at all. My other toe has a similar line along the bottom. I am not a Dr. but I highly doubt it's melanoma. Could maybe be from meds.
