Sunburn and melanoma
I have lots of moles all over my body, and a friend of my mum’s died in her 40s of
melanoma
, so I feel as though my awareness of it is heightened somewhat. I’m trying to understand the statistics you hear about sunburn and
melanoma
risk.

Today’s WSJ essay on the abject failure of medical science’s progress in dealing with this family of diseases and what must change.
These have allowed some hopeless patients with lung cancer,
melanoma
, lymphoma and acute lymphoblastic leukemia to live years beyond their predicted survival. But there are serious problems with the much-hyped CAR-T.

Someone please help me with this health anxiety before I ruin my life
Read an article about
melanoma
online, then panicked as I have moles and have never had them checked. Deteriorated quickly into a total state of uncontrolled panic for over two weeks until I got in to a dermatologist. The one particular mole I was most worried about she actually biopsied.

Lobectomy in3 days
This past year I’ve had a malignant
melanoma
, breast cancer and now lung cancer- all right side of body and all unconnected. Lung cancer was picked up at a radiotherapy scan by an oncologist who was to plan my radiotherapy. This tumour is 2.7cm and is upper right lobe.

A CANCER VACCINE….. At last visit my Doc mentioned a vaccine, but I didn’t inquire with him Further, then read this in Tampa Bay Times.
ImmuneFx now is being tested in clinical trials on humans with cutaneous
melanoma
, one of the most common types of skin cancer. But Lawman said she's confident the vaccine could be used in the future to treat a variety of cancers that present tumors, if not all of them.

I've been on Erleada (Apalutimide) + ADT for 16 months...Still works, but waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I've been battling cancer since 2001, not only Prostate Cancer, but Colon Cancer,
Melanoma
and Renal as well...(I've beaten all of them except PC) I have been tolerating the side effects relatively well, and I'm doing well.

Scans on June17 will inform us as to how the TIL trial is affecting the
melanoma
, including a punch biopsy of a skin lesion so they can look to see if the lymphocytes are attacking the tumor. Peace, Missy

I am really scared. Help
As I have written in previous post I have health anxiety OCD and I have just been taken a mole out for a biopsy today since it could be
melanoma
. And I'm waiting for some results to confirm glaucoma as well. I'm 45. No family, no job but good friends.

Ruxolitinib and aggressive squamous cell skin cancers.
I’d followed up the research that people here had pointed me to on the link between rux and aggressive SCCs and sent some on to him What I’d taken from the research was that if you had had a previous non
melanoma
skin cancer there was a significant risk of ruxolitinib triggering an aggressive SCC

Does it work?
Literally within the first minute of consultation he states radiation does not work on
melanoma
, it is not proven to be successful. Things that make you say hmmmm.... there is no plan to go back In Surgically to remove as it as been deemed inoperable. Not sure what to think.

Levothyroxine stiffness
I'm on Immunotherapy for
Melanoma
which has caused my thyroid to be interactive and my Doctors have put me on Levothyroxine 50mcg. Was due yesterday 29th May to have more treatment but it was cancelled because my thyroid level is 12.8.

Interesting issues
My nurses husband had
Melanoma
in 2008, on his calf, just a simple diagnosis these days. The man passed away 11 months later because the treatment we are lucky to have access to today didn’t exist then. More than one person has said to heal your head to heal your body, so make sure you try.
