PMR or Psioriatic Arthritis (PsA)
Hello I a newbie here, so forgive me if this is bit long and rambling. Finally got to see rheumi (privately) in October who thought I had one of the two above!! my issues all kicked off in Feb, overnight. He gave me a 1 month course of pred which definitely helped but was not the magic bullet associated

Undiagnosed Endo?
Hi everyone I’m new to this forum and looking for some advice :) I’ve been battling for years now trying to get some answers. I’ve suffered with very painful and heavy periods since I first started when I was 11 which were eased slightly when I went on the pill at 16. I’m now 26 and the past few years

Psychosomatic or does it really work?
Hey all, I’ll admit I stopped consuming omega 3, 6, & 9 before June but I have recently gone back to some Omega 3 tablets. Healthy heart is noted on the bottle. Does it work though?

Problem with voice
I wonder if anyone else has a problem with their voice, I was diagnosed with GCA a year ago and PMR 8 weeks ago and on Prednisolone 20mg and alendronic acid. My problem is I can’t sing (in fact I have given up choir) and I can’t talk for any length of time as my voice gets hoarse and it hurts my throat

Lisinopril
I had a heart attack in 2005 and a stent fitted in my right coronary artery. At the time I was put on 2.5 mg bisoprolol, 2.5mg lisinopril, 75mg apirin and 40 mg simvastatin . I am now 69 years old. I dropped the lisinopril about 5 years ago as my BP was not an issue and my GP thought it may be contributing

VITAMIN A REPAIRING AVEOLI
Why is it that we read of success they've had with lab animals using retinoic acid (a derivative of vitamin A) in repairing alveoli and then they tell us NOT to eat carrots or drink carrot juice while they (researchers) conduct 35 more years of "research"?

Adderall not working like it use to
Recently diagnosed from the VA for ADHD which I knew I've had for a long time. I started with adderall a few months ago. Started with 10mg 2x a day, then went to 15mg 2x, then 20mg 2x and now I'm at 30mg 2x a day and I feel like I've built up such a tolerance to it so fast that it isn't working like

Small sores that will not go!
Just want some advice please. It’s my third month on Ibrutinib and all going really well. However, I have a few small sores on my hands, one on my nose and one on a buttock that just will not heal up. Saw a GP on Friday, never met anyone so bored by what I was saying 😠 and he prescribed Fusidic Acid

Beginner's questions...
Hello! I am a 67 year old woman, still working as a freelancer – although increasingly reduced work load, a very sedentary job. I had a medical referral to the gym and for past year was going 3 times a week (normally!) to strengthen my muscles for my arthritic knees (which were much improved). Back

Zoledronic acid infusion
I'm having my first zoledronic acid infusion next Friday and I have no idea what to expect. For instance where does it usually go in and how long does it take? Anything else it would be useful to know? Thanks in advance Louise

I was so scared of taking Paclitaxol chemo, but it has been ok.
Hello, I had a mastectomy in April this year with additional removal of 6 lymph nodes. One aggregate deposit of .5, so my surgeon sent me to an oncologist for “possible radiotherapy and hormone treatment.” I am Triple Negative grade 3 stage 3. You cannot imagine the shock when she laid out her plans

IBS basics for beginners
Dear all, I have recently been suffering from excess burping and stomach pains for which I became dependent on Nexium for a couple of weeks. I have recently found that this is due mainly to changing from almond milk to lactose free milk, and also because I have been drinking a lot of decaff tea and
