Positive vibes with less pain
Taking a different road today and going down the positive vibe road. Waited a week to make sure I wasn’t premature in my happiness. Went last Wednesday for bilateral fluoroscopy guided steroid L5 epidural for my back pain. I was definitely nervous but the physician doing the procedure was so nice

How much prednisone should you take for adrenal fatigue?
Hertoghe´s clinic in Brussels about six months ago, and was told to take half a dose of
Medrol
(2 mg daily) in order not to shut down my own adrenal glands, but simply support them as the 24 h urine analysis showed they were struggling.

Is it better to take
Medrol
at nighttime inside the time release capsules or in the morning? I had been taking at nighttime and after watching Dr Sarah Mackie’s recent lecture I have changed it to the morning. But am feeling stiffer and a bit more achy.

Confused newbie...
After a
Medrol
Dose Pak from my Primary Care Doctor did nothing to help, my Rheumatologist opined that my 4.5 CRP level confirmed her initial PMR diagnosis from 2019. I began 10 mg. Prednisone/day in November 2020 and my CRP reduced to 0.7 in December 2020.

Officially tapering as of today~!
In July of 2020 I got down to 8 mg of
Medrol
but started having blurriness in my right eye so went back up to 16 mg per day. Since November 2020 I've been on 12
Medrol
per day along with Actemra. I had mentioned in a post, my present rheumy in Indiana switched me to prednisone, 15 mg per day.

Out of Remission. Starting over...
My doctor prescribed a
Medrol
dose pack with the hope it would knock out the flare and keep me in remission. No such luck. I went back up to 10 mg of Rayos (delayed release Prednisone) and started the tapering process all over again. Three weeks later my left knee blew up.

I paid the doctor....now for your input!
The reason for the switch is because
Medrol
does not come in 1 or 2 mg tabs for cutting. He is also referring me to a retina specialist to get a baseline on my right eye. And I have an appointment for my first vaccination which I’m pretty excited about, February 8.

Has anyone else noticed hormone requirement changing once you reach end-stage Hashimoto´s?
Adrenal fatigue is a controversial diagnosis so not sure I want to go down that road...my doctor wants me on 2 mg of
Medrol
daily to support rather than suppress my adrenal glands. But, the problem with unconventional doctors is that they seem to think nobody can do well on levo only...!

Taper?- small reductions but is in relapse or withdrawal ?
This went on for 6 months - I was put on
Medrol
, 15 mgs, in Sept 2020 (equiv to 20 mgs of pred, apparently), in Corfu. Much, much better! Optimistic, hardly any pain, coordination fine, no nausea (thank God) more energy (not perfect but good), head clear, but with some sleeplessness. Miracle!

Effects of Cortisone on PD.
Due to acute Lumbosciatica, I am taking Cortisone (
Medrol
16 mg) in decreasing doses for several weeks. I note however, that my symptoms (tremors, precarious balance, soft legs, etc.) are significantly increased in intensity. Has anyone ever checked it out?

Shielding Query
Does whether you’re advised to shield or not depend on your RA diagnosis or the medications you take for it? I’m asking because I had a letter originally, then a letter telling me to ignore the first letter. I had to stop taking the usual DMARDS due to intolerances which just left me with my IM Depo-Medrone

Medrol?
Hi Eveyone- Hoping to hear some success stories with FET while using
Medrol
? I have one embryo left. I had 2 failed transfers prior with perfect PGS tested embryos in July and September. I also have had a chemical pregnancy in the past with a FET that was not PGS tested.
