PICC Line
I just would like one arm I can use normally, I had been very good doing exercises to ease the scarring and stiffness from my bilateral
mastectomy
, but I feel now with the PICC line and the wound I can't really stretch much without fear I'll tear, pull or dislodge/tangle a PICC line.

Never give up hope !
It's right on the Nipple area so I chosen to go with
Mastectomy
of my left breast and get reconstructed later. Good news due to a cancellation my surgery is next Thursday. About myself I used to be fit and train with heavy weights from 34 to 51 years of age.

Starting Afresh
I had a

and anxillary lymph clearance in Nov 2019. I completed 5 out of 6 FEC-T chemo cycles....my last was cancelled because of covid which I am finding hard to mentally deal with. In 2 days time I finish my 15 radiotherapy sessions.

Chemo port leading to emergency. Can we remove it during severe anemia?
We moved forward and had her right
mastectomy
done within 2weeks of detection. After one month we started chemo with docetaxel, carboplatin and trastuzumab as suggested by medical oncologist. For the first chemo, she is administered with daunorubicin instead of docetaxel. Is this okay?

Experiences of recovery after gall bladder removal?
How long does it take for your body to adjust to no gall bladder and the continuous stream of bile into the gut? What are other peoples experiences. I am a 62 years old and reasonably active. I had my gall bladder removed ( cholecystectomy) in March this year. 2 months after the operation ( laparoscopy

Ovary bowel tethering. Lots of adhesions from surgical procedures including ectopic pregnancy with rupture, tubal ligation gone wrong (subsequent removal of broken tube and clip), cystectomy x2, vaginal hysterectomy. 1 week ago confirmed extensive endometriosis. I know from a friend that had stage 2 and had chemo,

Unilateral Mastectomy Regret
I had a unilateral
mastectomy
and I regret it everyday. My doctors encouraged me to not remove both because it wasn’t necessary and just because Angela Jolie did it, everyone had started doing it and it didn’t improve “quality of life”. I listened to them.

Latest Update - Post Surgery during Pandemic
I ended up opting for the double
mastectomy
, and had the surgery on St. Patrick's Day (March 17th). Considering the hospital was already in COVID-19 lockdown mode, I'm glad I went ahead with the surgery since now most surgeries are postponed.

Seeking wisdom from those of you that have "been there done that"
unilateral or bilateral
mastectomy
? I don't have any lymph node involvement and the PET scan showed no other cancer anywhere in my body. I am terrified of recurrence, I won't do this again, I'm.So.Tired.!! After surgery they want me to do 12 weeks of daily radiation as well. Thanks in advance!

Surgery and RA
That was until Jan when I had to come off for a
mastectomy
and reconstruction surgery. I’ve had a dreadful flare up after my op and this brought back lots of horrid memories of what a struggle I had in the early years and what many are still having to live with.

ICSI - advice needed please
This is my first time posting on here and I would really appreciate advice from those with experience of icsi. My OH is older than me and had a vasectomy over 12 years ago. Given his age, and the reduced likelihood of a successful reversal we plan to go down the icsi route. I’m 29 with no know fertility

Confused
Was told I needed a bilateral
mastectomy
and then would need to decide on my ovaries. Was told I could go on tamoxifen. Went to the doctor the other day and was told I might need chemo now. I am co confused as chemo was never said at the beginning. Any advise will be nice!
