Prof Fegan talks from ASH 2018 | Telomere length can predict the outcome of FCR chemoimmunotherapy in CLL
We are in an era of fast evolving blood cancer treatment, novel non chemo therapies and new combinations offer the potential for individualised therapy choices based upon cryogenics and physiology. Individualised treatment plans for patients require reliable predictive prognostic tests to rule out

I've been on Ibrutinib for about 1 year, diagnosed in 2009, first round of chemo in 2012 at Duke Med on a clinical trial stopped because of extreme hemolytic reaction. Chemo infusions again in 2015, worked for a couple of years. Started Ibrutinib in April 2018. Prostate resection in D3cemer 2018.

I live in Hamilton and being followed by a Hematologist at Mc Master. I have had my condition for 8 years and have never had a risk assessment. Private B12 injections in London please?
Hello, Does anyone know of a private GP in the London area or Kent who will give B12 injections please? I have had my loading dose of 6 just over 2 weeks ago, some symptoms went away but dizzyness and strange tiredness after walking for more 10 minutes were still there. I told this to my GP. But now

Cutaneous Vasculitis
Hi all Back in early 2015 I had the most awful rash and raised itchy lumps over the lower part of my legs. I went to my GP who suggested treating the whole family for Scabies. After many tests and appointments later and biopsies they confirmed Cutaneous Vasculitis. Back in 2018 from July to December

Job interview - dealing with embarrassing sweats
Hi everyone My tapering journey has been going well and the side effects of the steroids and the withdrawal on each reduction are becoming much less and bearable EXCEPT I suffer from red hot flushes to the face and terrible head sweats. I have noticed that these occur spontaneously but they are definitely

Starting Bendamustine tomorrow
Hi there! I’m a bit anxious about what’s to come - just dx w Stage 3a Follicular NHL. I had Rituxan 2 days ago and it went pretty well. What can I expect as I start the chemo? I’ve read up on all of the possibilities but thought I should ask some real warriors! Thanks so much 🙏🏼

ibrutinib, opposite effect.
Hi there everyone, Hope everyone is doing well. Happy New Year! I am writing this post because my dad just started ibrutinib on December 19 2018 and has went for two weekly blood tests, and each time his white blood count levels have gone down ( we were told it would skyrocket.) His WBC was at 406 in

Want to help my dad
My dad has had essential thrombocythemia jak 2 positive for a year. He used to work and be fairly active, but this seems to be getting the better of him and he's always fatigued and it's getting him down. How can I help him start finding some enjoyment out of life again? Is there a fitness, diet or hobby

I have read that vitamin B12 can help anaemia and some cancers, I've been taking hydroxycarbamide for nearly a year, is it safe to take vitamin B12?

Stem cell transplant appointment for post PV MF
My husband met with the transplant team yesterday. They went through pros and cons of a transplant. The only option offered to him for his post PVMF was ruxlitnib. We wanted to know about Pegasus and interferon but these two weren't an option. So for now he's going to take ruxlitnib for as long as he
