malabsorption
Absorption issues exist. The term is often used as a general explanation without a specific diagnosis being made. This led me to believe that I had to consider absorption issues when taking oral supplements.

Private GP visit
And also the
malabsorption
issues. She was very nice about it, but really didn’t feel I have pernicious anaemia. She did agree that both pregabalin and omeprazole can mess with the body and that I was right to stop both of them. So a little frustrated.

Update B12 appointment . help needed
(NHS website says 2_3months with
malabsorption
issues.) . I was told they cannot go against local NHS guidance and got to wait for 12 weeks for my B12 jab.

Prostate cancer treatment and IBS
At the moment, I've got IBS looseness and urgency under reasonable control by taking the treatment for bile acid
malabsorption
(Questran powder) although I have not been formally diagnosed with bam: who knows, the benefit of Questran could simply be the placebo effect!

B12 injections stopped by gp after 5 years treatment on nhs
Since then I got diagnosed with EDS and my specialist dr who diagnosed me asked my GP to give me my injections again whenever I’m symptomatic as EDS patients can have
malabsorption
issues.

Anaemia caused by PRD?
As my digestion issues slowly worsened, I was referred to a gastroenterologist who, after a SEhCAT test diagnosed 99% bile acid
malabsorption
, probably secondary to radiation enteropathy.

how can I suppress stool build up
I have been tested for everything include bile acid
malabsorption
, Sitz marker studies, capsule endoscopy. Trust me the lot. Nothing is found , to the doctor i am the healthiest man on the planet. Their only concern was the substantial weight loss due to not eating.

Fructose intolerance and low ferritin
Thyroid function hasn't appeared on my app yet so would seem it hasn't been done, but my ferritin has dropped from a dismal 27 ug/L (10 - 291) down to a dire 19 ug/L (15 - 200) So, couple of questions: could this be down to
malabsorption
and should my GP have picked up on this and be taking some action

'Malabsorption' - what do doctors mean exactly?
Hello, When reading about causes of deficiences such as iron, folate, B12 etc. the medical information (from whichever source) lists the causes and
malabsorption
is always one of them.
