Hi, I had my gallbladder removed 10 yrs ago and have to also now take bile binders. I started with Questran powder and then tried Colesevelam, went to 6 per day, 3 at breakfast 3 with evening meal. As you say hard to swallow. For me the powder worked better as I only take 1 sachet bafore my evening meal with the same result as 6 tablets. 1 sachet is a small dose and works for me better. The powder is mixed with a small amount of water or juice and I shake mine up in a small plastic container with a screw top. It can taste a bit gritty but down in one.

Like the tablets you have to manage other meds around, but as I have a loose tummy some days I find I can take an Imodium any time during the day as I need.

I hope this has been helpful like yourself I don't like to over medicate if I can help.

Take care
