My Story for private endocrinologist - what Qs to ask? 🤔
This is everything I have sent to the private endocrinologist about the last two years, with supporting evidence…. Dear Private Endocrinologist, I believe I have symptoms of hypothyroid or central hypothyroid or an issue with HPT axis however my blood tests are within the NHS ranges. In the two

support for tapering ropinerol
I have been on Ropinerol for about 5 years and trying to taper after Increasing the dosage, every year due to earlier leg ache and increased area of pain. When I started it was below my knee and now it’s entire leg. I was up to 2 mg in January and my new primary care suggested I could cut my pill in

Periodic episodes of fluctuating tachycardia while in AFib.
Never had any heart problems until early 2020. I'm a rather robust yet strong guy , late 40s. I suspect COVID may have had something to do with it. Never vaccinated either..went to e.r after having AFib for 16 hrs. Was blacking out at work. Thought I was going to die. Spent 2 days in hospital. Echocardiogram

Cream of tartar and cortisol
I am really intrigued now over the role of potassium in immune health and have been testing the outcomes of different ways of dosing via cream of tartar supplements. In IT sterns today was a real stress test to see how much potassium can mitigate excess cortisol I had no breakfast and simply sprinkled

Updated blood test results- is hypo the cause of my symptoms?
This blood test was taken at 9.15am. I had a previous blood test in February with a private GP, who suggested that thyroxine levels were depleting as TSH was slightly raised. Initial blood test (taken at 9am): TSH 4.28, free T3 4.6, free T4 15.6. So it seems like my results have improved since then

What to do about supplements when going abroad
What do you do about supplements when flying? I don't want to take full packs of everything but can't see airlines letting you take a tub with mixed supplements in. I'm thinking of magnesium in particular. I also have a large bottle of vitamin C plus selenium and zinc emulsion but unfortunately it's

Supra Ventricular Ectopy
For the last two to three weeks, I've been having a lot of PACS. Prior to that, I haven't had much of any irregular beats for the last six months. These episodes last for hours, (until my PIP kicks in) and have a high frequency, up to every other beat. I've had two ablations and currently don't take

T3 dose times
After experimenting with different t3 doses (twice a day vs 3x a day) and timings, I’m currently taking all Levo and 7.5mcg t3 at 5am, 5mcg t3 at 11am and 2.5mcg t3 at 4pm. This is so I can take magnesium at 8pm (I go to bed early). I find this too fiddly because sometimes I want a snack and can’t because

Pramipexole / Pregabalin
After many years on Pramipexole and having reached the max dose (6 x 0.88mg), I suffered augmentation and visited my GP. The GP i saw was very sympathetic and started me on Pregablin whilst I reduced the dose of Pramipexole.. I managed okay(ish) until I got to 3 x 75mg of Pregabalin and 2 x .088mg

GP Visit Update
Hi - I saw my GP yesterday and he did listen I guess! My main points were need for optimal levels of vitamins and minerals; PPIs affecting absorption; High T4 and low T3 signalling poor conversion. He said I could increase VitD3 to 2000iu and that a Vit B complex would be a good idea - I'm also adding
