Lyrica

I had to go through an appeal process because of it’s off license use for RLS( even though they cover Gabapentin and Lyrica which is also not licensed for RLS). As it is a tier 3 drug it falls under the deductible, which in my area is $545/ year!

Hi all, Any experience about lyrica drug to share with me, please?

Why can't I take requip and Lyrica together? All the doctor tells me is that they don't go together and the pharmacy says the same thing

After going through augmentation with pramipexole and no luck with gabapentin or lyrica, I was prescribed buprenorphine about 5 weeks ago and it has been a miracle. No RLS at all. I have found that a dose of .25 mg about 45 minutes before bed works perfectly.

We went down the rabbit hole of neuropathy and tried gabapanten and lyrica, OTC meds. None work. The only thing that touches his pain is hydrocodone. His Onc doctor feels it’s beyond neuropathy and is reticent to diagnose neuropathy because he might not be able to be part of trials.

In the meantime I have been prescribed Lyrica 25mg (did try before on a higher dose) and Vitb6 until I see her again. Could you perhaps advise if I can take all three at night and if I should take them at intervals and if so how?? Thank you kindly for your time

I am on 300 mg of Lyrica for the foot pain. My question is: Is this normal and realistically, how long can it last?

Lyrica was recommended but honestly I do not want to be on meds the rest of my life. Accupuncture helped a bit so I am starting that again soon. But my real question is if anyone has the pain I am experiencing and if not, perhaps its not just RLS i am experiencing. thanks!!

I have never been a good sleeper anyway and have had insomnia for 40 years, even with prami and Lyrica so I'm not surprised. I manage this with 10mg THC gummies which are available everywhere here in Michigan.

I’m currently on 150 mg Lyrica. I’d like to go back to gabapentin because of the weight gain and loss of hair. Can I just switch or will I have withdrawal symptoms?

The other thing which I did address in another post is nerve pain in .My GP put me on Lyrica which helped somewhat but side effects are drowsiness and fuzzy brain. leaving in 10 days for a trip to South America so I have to get this undercontrol

I am wondering if my Lyrica/Pregablin Rx could be the culprit. I was on 75mg at night and went to 100mg. I can't find gastroesophageal as a common symptom, but it is one of the few things that make sense.

He explains the problems with dopamine agonists and RLS, talks at length about augmentation and how to get off the DA with the help of gabapentin, Lyrica and opioids and other pharmaceuticals. The presentation is directed to both RLS patients and medical providers.

They did prescribe me Pregablin, which before when I was diagnosed I was taken Gabapentin, then was chanced to Lyrica. I was taking it before, but my OB Dr took me off of it due to pregnancy medications I was taking last year.

My dr had suggested Gabapentin or Lyrica. Anyone know which is better or should I just try to manage the Rls without drugs before getting on anything else. I’ve been reading a lot of other people’s posts which has been very helpful. Any suggestions as to what next?

Currently I'm on 140mg of methadone, 4mg/daily of clonazepam, muscle relaxers, Lyrica, and numerous other medications. When I get admitted to the hospital the nurses always say "wow, you're on alot of meds and alot of sedating ones too". Which I hate the judgemental attitude and comments.

For nerve pain first doctor tried pregablin (lyrica) which made me feel weird. Then doctor tried gabapentin (seizure medication) which worked but I could not take a high enough dose for nerve pain .
