I have noticed signs of LPR (silent GERD) such as sore throat, lump when swallowing and a cough. I am starting to loose my voice. I am wondering if my Lyrica/Pregablin Rx could be the culprit. I was on 75mg at night and went to 100mg. I can't find gastroesophageal as a common symptom, but it is one of the few things that make sense.
I had LPR many years ago and resolved it by sleeping on a wedge, changed diet (no tomato sauce, blueberries and other acidic items), cutting back eating late, drinking cold brew coffee and drinking high Ph water first thing in the morning.
Have any of you had these symptoms start after taking pregabalin?

I have LPR and have also taken pregabalin for approx 10 years. Mine improved on a low acid diet. I note that acid reflux is a possible side effect AND that pregabalin and gabapentin are sometimes used to treat some of the symptoms of LPR.
Unfortunately it's one of those things that's very difficult to establish (ie whether pregabalin causes LPR). The fact that you had it prior to taking pregabalin suggests you already had a predisposition to it.
I did notice in later searches it is sometimes used for LPR treatment. I suspect it is diet and stress related but is worse due to CPAP. I get aerophagia sometimes (air in the belly) and I think that is due to pressure going past my hiatal hernia. That would put pressure on it from the inside of the stomach.
I am having an endoscopy next week and I'll ask the Dr to see my hiatal hernia has worsened.
