Back to gabapentin

I’m currently on 150 mg Lyrica. I’d like to go back to gabapentin because of the weight gain and loss of hair. Can I just switch or will I have withdrawal symptoms?

You can just switch. Multiply the pregabalin by 6 to get the correct dose which would be 900 mg. Remember to take 600 mg 1 to 2 hours before bedtime and the 300 mg 2 hours before that and if you take magnesium, even in a multivitamin, don't take it within 3 hours of the gabapentin as it reduces the absorption of the gabapentin. If you take calcium don't take it within 2 hours for the same reason.

You can switch directly. I had hair loss on gabapentin, so it may not help. But, we all respond differently to gabapentin and pregabalin.I started biotin, folic acid and marine collagen and they restored the hair loss.
