Lyrica the worst experience in my life after being a Successful Recovery Alcoholic & drug addict.
lyrica
gives you without noticing a high. Mood altering the first two or three times after you take it. It was recommended to be to control mild anxiety. After you take it for a few weeks you become an addict of the medicine and it is a problem for those addicts to take it away.

Stopping Mirapex after 18 years
Am now taking
lyrica
75mg and tramadol 50 mg at noon and 6pm. I felt that I had quite a few side effects from the Mirapex including head aches, very stiff neck, arthritis, occasional rashes, fibromyalgia, less effectiveness, and some possible others.

Spinal buldges, herniations, pinched nerves, fractures / autoimmune disease, chronic pain VS. dementia
Then he added
Lyrica
which made my lower legs and feet swell so badly I couldn't get my shoes on. I stopped taking it and every other medicine he prescribed except the gabapentin.

Shingles Pain and spasms
I'm two and 3/4 weeks into this and I can't tolerate pain meds or
Lyrica
. The pain is excruciating! Taking Tylenol and ibuprofen . I feel worse evening and mornings. I get this weird sensation at times of what feels like twitching under my rib where it hurts. Is this normal?

Medications to manage neuropathic pain
I've considered, among other things, ALA supplements,
Lyrica
(although I have some serious side effect concerns), and topical lidocaine. I've also considered trying cold laser therapy, but my insurance doesn't cover it (no big shock there).

I take pregabalin(

Pregabalin and B12....
Hi β Iβm not really sure how to ask about this but I have been on
Lyrica
(Pregabalin) 100mg - 300mg since 2010 β prescribed after years of testing and trials of other meds to try and alleviate the pain for a diagnosis of Chronic Migraine and Occipital Neuralgia.

They have refused and have prescribed Pregabalin (
Lyrica
) at a maximum dose of 300mg per night. Iβve been increasing the dose from 50mg and am now on 250mg and I can say I feel awful! Even though Iβm staying asleep (I do tend to sleep very lightly) I wake up in the morning feeling like a zombie.

Confused about anxiety, depression and Lyrica.
But the
Lyrica
really seems to be helping. But please persevere, don't give up on meds or talking therapies. Best wishes π

Vulval nerve pain remission and relapse? anyone else?
Hello, I started getting bad nerve pain diagnosed as vulvldynia about 4 years ago...was put on amitriptyline 50 mg and

Lyrica feedback?
Fellow AMNers I would like to know what your experience with
lyrica
has been. I've read almost too many threads that have likened it to either their savior or the devil.

MDD, Anxiety, PTSD, Chronic Pain
In the last 3 years I started having lower back pain and ended up having surgery that did nothing which led me to
Lyrica
. I feel like the
Lyrica
helps but it makes me sleepy and adds to my depressed mood. I currently live in AZ which I hate but because of my husband we had to move.
