New here: about to have TAHBSO, worried about upstaging and menopause.
Hey everyone, I'm new here. I've read about a billion posts trying to find out as much info as possible. I'm only at the beginning of the journey. I've had scans in the last few weeks which revealed an 8.5cm cyst in one ovary and 3 x 2cm cysts in the other ovary. The MRI 'looks worrying' I've been told

throat clearing
Hello everyone! My oophorectomy was successful. I'm a little sore and tired, but glad it's over. Coronavirus has officially hit us here in the U.S. My school is closed for 2 weeks or longer (which is probably great timing for me). My question is, do any of you constantly need to clear your throat

Polyp removal causing scarring?
Had a hysteroscopy to remove some polyps before egg transfer. Then when I went for my scan after down regulation the clinic have said they may have caused scar tissue we might not be able to proceed. Has anyone else had this. Feel like it was supposed to help but might have made me permanently infertile

Tibolone after Hysterectomy
Hey, I’m nearly 8 weeks post op after having a full hysterectomy due to severe endometriosis. I’m in surgical menopause and been prescribed Tibolone and started suffering with severe headaches. Do these subside after a while? The headaches make me feel really sick too and I can’t talk.

Cholecystectomy & PCa in Patients with Gallstones.
New study below [1]. Here is another curiosity. (Cholecystectomy is removal of the gall bladder. It is a common procedure in the U.S. - ~600,000 annually!) Cholecystectomy was associated with a ~50% increased risk of PCa in years 1 through 5 following the procedure, & double the risk thereafter. From

Has anyone had endometrioma return & get the chance to freeze eggs before ovary removal? or if not how did you cope?
I’m 26 with no children, I was miss diagnosed under gynocology last year, they thought it was a tube but I had a 10x12cm hemorraghic cyst which was in my left ovary removed last August along with my ovary, my right ovary then flared up 3 weeks later & they drained 500ml of blood from it. Now it has started

Hysterectomy
Hi I am due for total abdominal hysterectomy and ovary removal at the end of this month and will force me into surgical menopause. Just wondered if anyone else on here with liver problems had undergone this operation and whether it had caused any issues with their health? Thanks

Oophorectomy, anyone?
Hello everyone! I just had a scan and feel really grateful that so far the Ibrance and Letrozole have reduced the lesions on my rib and pelvis. I am 50 years old, and am premenapausal, so I get a Lupron shot every month. I have been thinking about getting my ovaries removed since 1.) I'm not using

Hysterectomy and bilateral oophorectomy
Hi all, I would be keen to get advice or other people’s perspectives. I am 31 years old and have been struggling with polycystic ovaries and endometriosis from I was roughly 16 years old. I have had multiple surgeries and had an ovarian torsion several years ago which resulted in me having my left fallopian

Horrible nausea but 3 weeks post op
Hi all! My excision and polypectomy were done on the 15th of Jan. Recovery was fairly straight forward, bleeding for 2 weeks which i believe included my period, bit of pain in my left leg (see previous post), but nothing of any great concern really. I returned to work last week. But since Sunday I have

Uretra and ovary stuck solid with adhesions
Hello, have had bilateral salpingo oophorectomy via laparoscopy today. Was more complex than thought as my ovary was fused with adhesions to my uretra. Took some time but managed to chip away. Very painful recovery so far and needed to stay in hospital overnight. Just wandered if anyone has experiences

AF and gallbladder removal.
Flecainide has halted my bouts of SVT but a new arrhythmia has now developed. HB is a steady 54 during them but I get breathless and a strange feeling in my chest with flip flops. Now I scheduled for a gallbladder removal under GA next Friday. I am afraid to have it done while I have this strange arrhythmia

Unicornuate Uterus and Endometriosis
Hello everyone, I'm a 52 year old mum to a 24 year old daughter who suffers terribly with endometriosis. She was also born with a unicornuate uterus with a rudimentary horn. She's tried all sorts of treatments over the past 3 years without much success, she's now looking at a hysterectomy. Her endometriosis
