Current recommended treatment plan is Lupron shots, either Abiraterone acetate along with Prednisone or Enzalutamide. Also have a consultation with the radiation oncologist scheduled for next week. Thoughts and opinion on treatment plan very much appreciated?

Had Triplet Therapy with ADT (Lupron), Docetaxel chemo and Darolutamide. After 2nd chemo my PSA was undetectable and has remained so for a year.

I am 78 and I have been on Lupron for 6 months with a Gleason score of 4+3. I am two months post Lupron and have my six month radiation follow up to the prostrate and pelvic area. As part of that my RO requested a PSA and a T blood test.

I understand that Lupron can cause this side effect. I have been taking injections for 1 year. At this point, the shrinkage is so much that it is almost nonexistent? Has anyone else had this problem and does it go away after stopping Lupron?

I've requested relugolix instead of bicalutamide/ lupron for ADT, Relugolix is now mandated by NICE in the UK for locally advanced hormone sensitive PC, as of 14th August 2024. So the NHS must ensure that it is being offered as an option.

Still on Lupron for now. How long should I keep taking prednisone? I know Zytiga clears out pretty fast.

I am 47 years old diagnosed with PC last month with Gleason score 9(5,4) and was advised ADT treatment with Bicalutamide and followed by Lupron 30 mg after two weeks. PSA was 77 in Jan and dropped to 23 after starting ADT treatment and already feeling better with much less urinary symptoms.

., biopsy. 77yrs old, hit gym daily but have significant side effects of lupron.. Being treated at Comprensive cancer center. Plan was one year of Lupron. After five SBRT, and nine months on adt, my doc is willing to let me terminate my Lupron, or just a one or two monthly shots.

Treatment, on Lupron, 3 month shots, with Zitiga beginning July, 2023. I have mets in shoulder blade, Sacrum Coccyx, bi-lateral pelvic lymph nodes and Iliac wing. Liver numbers over the course has come to a point that my MO is changing me from Zitiga to darolutamide.

He had chemotherapy, 37 radiotherapies and Lupron for 3 years. He came off HT December 2021 but testosterone hasn't really recovered (last reading was 2.4 as a UK measurement should be 10 I believe) PSA has been undetectable from early on.

I’m doing Lupron shots every 3months + Abiraterone with Prednisone daily, will start radiation in a couple weeks. I was tested on day 8 and my PSA had already fallen from 8.7 to 2.78. I had been feeling very good with virtually no side effects.

Dad started Lupron back end of November. Developed a rash at Christmas time that has not gone away (despite topicals and steroid), and he’s dizzy. In addition to not sleeping well and significant GI issues one month after completing radiation. He is just not feeling well.

Been on lupron 3 + years. PSA #s low but rising rapidly. Were 0.01, 9 months ago, 0.77 a month ago, 2.1 couple days ago. Starting Abirateron with prednisone when I wake tonight so I can have coffie with toast in the morning. Been dealing with hypertention, 178/103, Started lisinopril 2 weeks ago.

They took me off Casadex and put me on Orgovyx which did not work so they put me on injections of lupron once a month. My psa again started rising on lupron injections. Now They have put me on nubeqa to lower psa. Start that tomorrow.

I am due to get my third 6 monthly dose of Lupron injection in late May. I plan to travel during that time. Is there any harm if I should postpone the injection date by 2 or 3 weeks beyond the 6 months dateline?My PSA reading is currently below 0.1 ug/l.
