Ongoing care
I then had 3
Lucentis
injections from then until July 2018. I have had checks since then and the time in between these appointments has increased. Fortunately the vision has remained stable and I have to say is good.

Sector laser with Lucentis injection for Diabetics Macular edema
During last follow up, dr suggest to give sector laser and give a
Lucentis
injection. Both are already given 5 days ago. But after having sector laser in her eye, my mother saw some dark shadow area in her eye when she look into something. Her vision was 6:9 before having the laser.

SHOULD I STOP MY EYE SHOTS?
I been receiving
Lucentis
at first and now and now Eylea for 12 years. At first I received shots every 2 weeks in alternating eyes. The shots have slowly been stretched out over the years. Now I don’t receive any shots in my left eye and only revive a shot in my right eye about once a month.

Allergic reaction no.3. Advice please.
Over a period of years, I’ve had one Avastin, and many
Lucentis
and latterly Eylea injections. Both eyes are now treated. The injection procedure itself is usually ok, but on 3 occasions the after effects have been agonising.

cataract on AMD patient
My mother suffers from wet AMD (both eyes) and she has been receiving treatment with
Lucentis
injections for the past 5 or so years. About 3 months ago she started complaining about some haziness in her eye. She had an OCT a week ago and her Doctor said there was no any blood leaks.

Lucentis injection and infection
I got an infection after
Lucentis
injection? I am told only 1 in 8000 injections lead to this. Anyone else experience this?

Eye pain after Lucentis injection
I was told it is a reaction to the “procedure” not the
Lucentis
. I was given a prednisone eye drop to use after receiving the shot. It worked well the first time, but now the pain seems to be as intense as before the eye drop.

Lucentis injection but no bleed?
I received a
Lucentis
injection in August, but have held off on any additional injections because I was no longer bleeding and I am breastfeeding. I am in the process of weaning now, and my retina specialist has discussed getting another injection just for additional protection.

TREATMENT IS NOT A CURE!
I have now come to realise (not from any advice from him) that these monthly
Lucentis
injections are also only a treatment - stop the treatment and the macula edema returns.

Still trying to gather information
I was switched to
Lucentis
. There is no doubt in my mind that the compounding / outsourcing lab was at fault. But to prove this there would have to be others, at least a few, who reported the same problem, which could be traced back to the lot of syringes .

Eyelea injections for two years and before that, 1 year of lucentis injections without any major issues until November 1, 2018.
At my last injection of eyelea, I immediately noticed black bubbles too numerous to count floating in my eye. I notified my doctor and he stated that it must be air bubbles. After a weekend of my eye and vision not clearing i began to have severe pain and little to no vision in that eye. I was instructed

Flying after Lucentis injection, is it safe?
I am having
lucentis
this time due to now being under the care of a different hospital in different area. It’s only a small light air craft and terrifies me and really causes me stress, but aside from the stress factor, is it safe to fly after
lucentis
injection? It’s a 1 hour flight time.

Consultants in two specialties: Compare and contrast
They can see the obvious, that using
Lucentis
would result in far fewer treatments being provided. Therefore, it is obviously in the interests of the population of patients that Avastin be used in preference to
Lucentis
.

BBC News off topic
I was watching the health section of the BBC News yesterday and read an interesting bit regarding the drug
Lucentis
. 12 northern NHS doctors are now using a cheaper version and so had been taken to the High Court by Bayer and Novatis.

Update 4th Ozurdex implant
New Dr again ( though I think I've seen him either at review or a
lucentis
inj). Friendly and efficient - good job as the nursing team didn't seem switched on that this was an ozurdex. No implant ready, no anaesthetic injection ready.
