Some success with Lucentis injections

I have had 5 Lucentis injections over the past 5 months - to treat a case of Central Retinal Vein Occlusion. I went into my Opthamologist yesterday to have my 6th, and OCT scan revealed that my previously swollen macula had dried out completely and the extensive hemorrhaging had reduced to "minimal" . The RS said that he would not inject this month and to come back to see him in a months time. My visual acuity has not improved at all though and I can read no letters at all on the wall chart. My optometrist has told me that the "nerves" have been damaged due to blood loss but that they can sometimes recover and regrow but it takes months.

Just wondering if there are any here with similar experience???

Hi i have central vein occlusion, same here my injections dried up fluid, haemorrhage slowing, but now they can see small branch veins growing so have to have a laser treatment to stop this, ieven my nurse in work with over 30 yrs experience hasn't heard of this, apparently in america there's a surgeon who's developed a machine to take clot out, won't repair damage already done but would clear blockage, mine happened day after my mum's funeral in june
