Had pacemaker fitted in December 2018 followed by heart attack. Still working full time in office waiting results of tests. Taking bisoprolol, Losartan, indapamide, Asprin, Furosemide plus Diabetic meds’. I am suffering severe tiredness and difficulty walking very far. Still waiting for results of tests from hospital after months of waiting for test appointments. Any advice would be much appreciated I am 69.

Hi Julie, are you taking metformin for diabetes? If so ask for your vitamin b12 folate and vitamin D3 levels to be checked., if they haven’t been.

Can you reduce your hours until you have all of your results etc. to give you more time to recover.

Best wishes

I haven’t had a heart attack but had a PM fitted last May 2018 for heart block, I have to say that I feel more tired now than I did before I had it fitted. I’m not on any heart meds at all, so I’m waiting for my December check up to get some answers hopefully.

Hi Julie, I have had various heart problems, op and DVT in the last 2 years and have diabetes . I am on a number of meds, including most of the ones you mention. I get so very tired yet, do not sleep well at night, I feel it's a lot to do with medication and, I agree with Janna it's worth having a blood test. Good luck x

Hi Julie ...I like you had PM January 18 for bradycardia still on meds similar to you for Tacky PM appeared to manage bradycardia but had extreme breathlessness and fatigue..no energy beta blocker put me over the edge being pre, diabetes was admitted to hospital fortnight ago totally exhausted they tested heart ...no worse than before they put me on metformin long release twice daily along with cliclimide and prescribed small dose of morphine to help breathlessness having lost some weight I believe has also helped ...don’t need morphine at present and am grateful to feel so much better ..early days I know but fingers crossed...was so unwell for good couple of years it’s such a relief to even feel some q.o.l .....have you got you diabetes under control ..I wish you all the best ..

Hi Zezee, many thanks for letting me know your experiences since PM. My diabetes is thankfully under good control and this weekend decided to give up Victoza injections to see how I go on. Also have B12 every 8 weeks. Weight is a big problem for me struggling to lose any it’s quite depressing. I do hope you continue to improve, take care Julie
