So confused
I was diagnosed with very mild build up in 2 small arteries the only reason they gave me the scan was because I pushed for it, Drs kept telling me my chest pain which i get every day, was anxiety, even after the diagnosis they said the amount of build up didn't warrant how much pain I was getting, I

Confused
I’m new here, 58 and had a double bypass eight years ago, followed by a serious carbon monoxide poisoning two years ago which caused damage to my heart. I’m a bit confused because I am getting angina symptoms at rest which I assume is unstable angina. I’ve read that unstable angina is a medical emergency

Consultation with 'Top Endo'
After posting my two failed acth test, and gtn loads of advice on this forum. I decided to seek a private endo, the BEST in my area. (Name removed as per Admin Guidelines) his reputation on adrenals and thyriod are exceptional. I’m 18 months out of a job due to sickness, due to my nhs doctors not following

What’s the relationship between microvessel disease and unstable angina?
Are there differences in the experience of micro vessel angina and unstable angina? I have had major vessels stented, but still experience angina when in the cold, or hot or damp, stressed, on inclines, alcohol, coffee, stairs and carrying weighty items, or speeding up too fast. GTN helps. I can exercise

Thank you!
I'd like to thank all those who commented on my last post. I was feeling a bit low after my appointment with a cardiologist. Every comment made by you was positive and encouraging. Since then, I've been searching for info and reading other people's posts on here. I'm staggered at how many people have

Mvd & cardiologists,
Hi all, I've not been on here in a very long time but thought I'd share this, as I'm so angry with the cardiologist I had the misfortune to have an appointment with a few days ago, he left me wishing I hadn't bothered. I had an angiogram about 6years ago after suffering chest pain and shortness of breath

Living With Angina
I'm on a cardiac rehabilitation course following bypass surgery. One of the cardiac nurses running the course explained they've had many people with angina symptoms, and those people are often surprised at the relatively high level of exercise they can achieve during the course without suffering any

Hi I have had a diagnosis of microvascular angina due to my symptoms as angiogram was fine. Was recommended by the gp to attend the gym with others with heart related problems and was doing fine until the other day. Giving up work
Hello I’m 48 and have had 3 heart attacks , last one 2 years ago . I have had several visits in to hospital the last 2 years with emergency admissions due to severe chest pain and several times been told it’s unstable angina. I think my stressing with a pressured job doesn’t help and certainly my body

W1R1 done (again)
Just want to drop back in and let you know that my dizzy spell and chest jaw discomfort has been non-conclusive from all the tests I had, therefore I’m putting it down to anxiety/panic. The fact I responded to the angina Glyceryl trinitrate spray within 2 minutes has been put down to potential high blood

I was diagnosed with vasospastic angina in August this year after seven years of symptoms. So far it responds to GTN spray, although sometimes I have to use it three times. The last three weeks have been very stressful at work and last week I had two episodes actually in the office. Neither was particularly

Nitric Oxide
New study [1]. I have used a nitroglycerine patch for several years. The idea is to help improve blood flow to tumors. When the oxygen supply is poor, PCa cells will respond with Hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha [HIF1alpha]. HIF1alpha is implicated in treatment resistance & it makes cells more aggressive

Hi, I'm a 63 year old male going on 25 (wish) who has just (3 weeks and counting) had a triple bypass. Probably started about 40 years ago when I had an 'episode' of chest pain whilst walking the kids and playing with the dogs. Got it all checked out and nothing showed up. Sent away with aspirin and

Holby Sh*tty - Episode 3 a.k.a. When Winnie the Poop met Wind in the Pillows...
Bonjour mes amis and again the warning of bad language and/or graphic details. Remember, curiousity causes offence so don't read if you are a little sensitive. First and foremost I did not post yesterday as a mark of respect for the sad loss of Veronica. It just didn't seem right to have a giggle
