Hi there,

your GTN spray will relax and widen your blood vessels, it will not alleviate your tiredness I'm afraid. This is likely to be the result of your heat attack and your current medication, most likely your beta blocker. It will get better as you recover, have you begun cardiac rehab as of yet?

GTN is used to help alleviate the pain associated with angina. As has already been stated it widens blood vessels to take the strain off your heart. It is very unlikely that it will help your fatigue.

Are you thinking this increase in tiredness might be angina?

If you do, then I can see your logic. Do you have a cardiac liaison nurse you talk it through with?
